Ever experience a strange moment in time? What I mean by that is this: you are living life normally as you always do and all of a sudden time just slows down. And, no, I don't mean by boredom or whatever. Time really just slows down and everything is in slow motion. Then all of the surrounding sounds and noises disappear like you are in a vacuum and all noise was sucked somewhere else. Then - BAM! Time begins moving normally again and all the sound comes back. Has anyone ever experienced this and if so - what do you think of it? Any theories/ideas/experiences you'd like to share? I'm very curious. I' had experienced it only once or twice before until yesterday when it happened again --

I just experienced it through your words, and I don't know if I was just feeling your experience, or remembering my own.. But it was neat, at any rate!*side question.. were you sampling your wares at the time? J/K IP: Logged |

Maybe some some inexplicable reason, you were simply 'aware' of the time... in a sense, putting you outside it, in an observers' point of view... Rendering it different in your perception....IP: Logged |

I have had that happen quite a few times. Strange when it happens. Like the world seems to stand still. There is sort of a gloom maybe. I usually start thinking things like, "Wow, I could die right now, and would it make any difference? The world would be just as mysterious." and thinking about how insignificant I am at that moment, and things like that. It's not really negative, just taking a realistic veiw of myself. I think Pix is right acctually, that's pretty much how I feel when it happens to me. I like to think outside myself whenever possible, so it happens frequently, but some times are just much more powerful than others.IP: Logged |

I've had that too. It was eery and hambling experience. Never asked why or how though. Simply presumed that it was more spiritual than physical. I'm just greatful for the gift of it.------------------ You can't lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse. J. Peers IP: Logged |

Oh freaky! I get that occasionally, especially when I pick up a book to read in a shop.. its like I totally get wrapped up in the text and go completly deaf, and then when I stop reading I suddenly hear normal noises like the music the shop is playing and people talking ect!! Its really odd!! Everything is in slow mo like you said, when I 'come back to earth' lol its like everything quickly speeds up. IP: Logged |
