Black Moon Lilith: Black Moon Lilith is the astrologer's term for the lunar apogee. Since the Moon has an elliptical (oval) orbit and a wobbly one at that, the distance the Moon is from the Earth varies. The lunar apogee is the mathematical point in the sky where the Moon is farthest from the Earth. The reason this point is called Lilith is because in the Lilith story she was acting out the difficult (distant) part of the Moon, in murderous rage, vindictiveness, and insanity. The glyph for Black Moon Lilith is a black crescent pointing east, similar to a 3rd quarter Moon, but with a cross underneath.

since my last post I've learned a few more things. As I was reading them I could visualize and see so many examples.

Lilith is the dark side of a woman, one that we try and control, avoid or even forget that its there. she is negative, vengeful and controls through sex. Her ultimate power

Its dark and scary and its nature is described pefectly with the immortal words of Shakespere "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

lilith was a feminist, with some good points (at least by todays standards)

I actually made a mistake (its got to be Mercury Rx) my Lilith sits in Taures in the 5th right between Moon and Venus. This area has always been troublesome because Uranus squares it from the 8th. Circumstances beyond my control.

It's kinda sad about the story of Lilith, in the religious texts, don't you think? I would like to know whether she really did become a demon and embrace the darkness, or whether she is just a normal soul like you and I. Maybe the story was made up to discriminate further against women? Who knows- it would be fascinating to find out.

I don't quite get why any soul would knowingly choose to go into Hell anyway (only unknowingly); if God is pure Love; all that is beauty; all that is joy- well, then the concept of the devil doesn't make sense either- if he could see so much then surely, eventually, he would redeem himS-elf, would he not? I don't know what you guys think about that?

God made lilith as a companion for Adam so that he wouldn't have to have sex with animals which he was rejecting.

During sex Adam insisted on Lilith lying beneath him (thus ascerting his authority over her) She rebuked this, feeling that she was his equal. ( Lilith) She flys off.

Adam then had God send 3 angels on his behalf to bring her back.

She refused even at the threat of losing 100 sons a day.

With Lilith abandoning Adam he then got Eve (who was subservient) and lilith took the guise of the serpent who later seduces Eve into eating the apple.

lilith uses her sexual powers over men, she is superior.
