Hi, Sue! I'm fine thank you for asking. It's so strange that the people who have the ability to hurt us the most are the people who are closest to us. But they are truly our best teachers.------------------ We are the ones we've been waiting for. IP: Logged |

Hello Sue, I would like to say that I agree with you when I say that your sister made a very selfish statement. I dunno, I guess I just wanted to say that her statement offended me. I mean does she know what its like to have depression? Obviously not. To me its just as real as any other emotion and its not something I would wish on my worst enemy.IP: Logged |

Thanks pixie girl for your words, yeah "holier than thou" it is and it never ceases to surprise me what people can think and do!!! The comments were very judgemental and quite harsh........I think me too trusting........gonna have to stand back from this negativity. I feel as tho Im being used as a scapegoat for someone elses anger and frustration......am not gonna allow this........no way jose, been there, done that, bought the t shirt etc!!! Older and wiser now!! The thing that I feel strongly here is how much support there is a LL, you guys really rock, like you always come in and help out like true friends. Thanks Pixie kindred one, as usual you echo my thoughts Hi Svet You are right, they are our greatest teachers but having said that I dont need people here telling me who I love and who I dont. Still I know in my heart the one that says those things is talkng of herself - lets hope love is found God bless Love to all Sue xxx xxx

Salutations Sue I don't think we've met. Having experienced a severe depression in my early twenties that completely incapacitated me, I was drawn to your thread. I sympathize entirely.
"Waking the dead" is just a way I sometimes refer to the process we earth-bound souls go through to achieve a greater perception. So, yes, I mean "people in general". I certainly count myself among them. More so than most, in fact. Do I presume that most of us are asleep? Yes. To varying degress, of course. The dead or the sleeping, whichever you choose. As the Cat said, we probably wouldn't be here if we weren't. I agree you with 100% about the use of force. It's counterproductive, isn't it? Hence my previous post. Lotus seems to be trying to alert us to something and is frustrated with our lack of cooperation. I was pointing out what I thought was an error in her delivery and intent. (in hindsight, that's pretty nervy of me, huh? ... But I was honestly trying to help so maybe the LL gods will forgive me) Honestly, I was surprised by Lotus' reply. (And yours too) I expected her to fight or be offended. Isn't life strange! Someone once asked the Buddha, "What are you?" To which the Buddha replied, "I am awake". IP: Logged |

It has drive me mad and in to some really deep dark moods of depression and a long time and lots of hard work to come to this place in time, where I say no more poison and just more understanding of this side of mys-elf. Still learning to feed that part of my soul with more gentle compassion and understanding of the human nature and how fragile we can truly be.
Solane .... yup. That's very insightful. I can't say I've learned to be that good to myself, but I think you have the right idea. It's a hard row to hoe. IP: Logged |

HI TinkHow are you? Thanks for posting and taking the time to explain about the "dead"people" LOL. I understand what you mean, but I also feel that maybe a lot of folks here are very much 'ALIVE" (in the words of Eddie Vedder), as I am. Could you explain to me why you were surprised by my reply - I am ever interested in peoples opinions? I was so sorry to hear of your depression, you like myself, must be a very sensitive man/woman? I feel very deeply for anyone who goes thro this - I heard someone say once, "its the soul screaming out" - another deep and sensitive one hey - thanks be to God for them!!! Thanks again and speak soon Love Sue xx

Oh TinkIf I sounded offended I didnt mean to!!! I think I was a little taken aback with the thread that was dedicated to fayte and I (had that happened by then) OR I was a little surprised by the communications coming out of this matter!! I want to say sorry to you if you felt upset or hurt by anything I said girl, that would have not been my intention! Unfortunately, in the past I have been on the receiving end of peoples' anger and although I am a sensitive one, I had to put a stop to this, for me it went too far, so you prob caught me in the middle of this - sorry for that! We have a kds tv programme here called the Teletubbies and one of them is called Tinky Winky, sounds a bit like your name - he is purple and I am told he is a gay icon - (strange but true) LOL!!!! Anyway Tink I thank you for defending me, what is it about Scorpio people and loyalty, they always astound me!!! I hope you can understand that I was feeling a little errr........confounded, for want of a better word Love Sue xxx

I've liked the few times I've gotten to see the teletubbies. I like the oddity and colorfulness of it. Quite compelling.I'm also a fan of Tink's. I've always found her to be nice. Not surprising, huh? IP: Logged |

As a sufferer of depressive tendencies myself I can certainly assure you that very little *VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY LITTLE* of depression is selfish...its not like you wake up one day and go "oh i think i wanna be depressed today". I know no one said that or even implied it however I feel very strongly on the subject. Everyone gets depressed at some point however there are those of us who are medically afflicted with it. I personally have suffered on and off with manic depression *bipolar* for the past 5 years. It is the most frightening experience ever to know that your mind is capable of hurting you more than anything else. That you could possibly harm someone you love. I've found a way that keeps the worst of the depression at bay but I still get knocked down by it if I'm not careful. I never wanted the attention. I never asked to be sick but thats the way it goes sometimes. I have fought hard to be where I'm at and some of you know (from reading my most recent poetry posted at yellow wax) that I'm fighting hard to keep from going back down that path. Depression is in no way selfish or self absorbed. Its a disease.------------------ love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove. No, not upset or hurt. Just surprised. But a lot gets lost in translation when speaking through this damn fool contraption. So while I'm at it .... I should probably add, just for good measure, that I in no way wished to attack Lotus. I have nothing but sympathy and admiration for those who wish to change the world. God knows it could use the help. I suppose high levels of frustration are just part of the job description, but I hate to see good-hearted people drown in it. I sometimes wish I could say I was one of those sensitive types but I don't think I am. "nice"? "nice"?? eeewww. note to AG: most scorps don't enjoy being called nice. But thank you so much for the thought Your GU posts are a wonder to behold. Very well structured and remarkably restrained, given the atmosphere. What a clear mind you have! IP: Logged |

hello sue... my first words are please forgive me - i don't know you and i "hummed and hawed" a lot over whether to post my own thoughts regarding... i agree that your sisters re-action to your state wasn't top-notch but if i can play devil's advocate for just a moment... is it possible that her fear is dictating her behavior towards you? her fear FOR you? ( forgive the caps, haven't quite figured out the bold type yet ) or perhaps your suffering reminds her too acutely of her own pain, pain that she doesn't want to remember/acknowledge? whatever the root cause of her behavior i do hope you and she can reconcile ( not quite the word i was looking for but it's sunday - brain isn't really functioning the best )
