OK, you Sesame Street watchers you: Do you know that one little skit in which a man emerges from a lake or spins into the picture carrying a letter or number (I can't remember which)? Variations of it are in several episodes; it looks like it's from the 70s, early 80s...Well, I swear that it's Hugh Laurie, though IMDB doesn't list it as him. In case you don't know, he's the guy who plays "House": Do any of you know if it's him??? This has turned into one of those goofy little things that's driving me insane! He doesn't talk in the skit and I caaaaan't fiiiigure it oouuuut! (And, no - I don't have a jones for him...I just get OCD about random things.) - Corri IP: Logged |

That's it, Petron!I've watched House a few times. Each time it drove me nuts that I couldn't place where I knew him from. Thanks (I don't know about the Sesame Street thing either, Prox. Although, no doubt I've seen the skit... just don't remember it.) IP: Logged |

Hey, when I saw that title I couldn't resist coming this thread! Hugh Laurie is infact a reknowned comedic actor/writer or something here in England and I doubt he would have a part in Sesame Street, although I spose you never know. You guys know he's British right? He often works with Steven Fry.... He was in Blackadder- (with Rowan Atkinson... you know, Mr. Bean?)!! Please tell me someone knows what that is! proxieme, could you put up a picture of the Sesame Street guy? IP: Logged |

I'm not sure I can find it - I'll try, though. It's a really old (looking), rather classy (if really quirky) bit - that's another reason I thought it might be him. It actually looks like it could be from the Muppet Show era, and I figured that since that filmed in the UK maybe they got him to do a weird-o little spot for another of Jim Henson's babies.
