I'm leaving in T minus 28 minutes (and counting) to see Tom Petty at The Gorge at George!Oh... I'm so excited. I've seen him there once before. I didn't know what to watch... The show, or the view. Last time we sat over here on the grass. This time we will be more toward the front. I'd be willing to trade seats with the folks on the grass, I think. Woo Hoo! I can't wait anymore! I Tom Petty! Ohhhh... I had the greatest time!I met this really rad couple there from BC. They had the best... uh... yeah... that I ever had! They were way cool chicks! Tom Petty went a little Mick Jagger on us though. It was an excellent show, but Tom just wasn't his usual docile self. He was wigglin' his hips all over... really show boating. He really got the crowd involved. There was a lot of echo singing going on. I love the sound of large groups of people singing together. It is so moving. It was the last show for the tour, so that could have had a lot to do with it. He could have been a bit giddy. His hair was tapered, feathered, and hair sprayed . It was almost like Farah hair. That was really weird. The Black Crows opened up for him. They rocked the house. I had a blast. Beers were $8. IP: Logged |

Oh... I didn't end up trading seats though. Glad I didn't. Now I have a whole new perspective on that amphitheater.Seriously... If ever anyone has an opportunity to see a concert at The Gorge at George, DO IT. It is sooooooooo beautiful! IP: Logged |
