hello peace. where ru planning to move in india? in mumbai we have all sorts of prperty available. from those which we call 'hi-fi' to middle class style. i need lots of more details to guide u. please email me at plutonic_evolution@yahoo.co.in with details like where u want to live in india and what is the monthly rent u can afford to pay in ruppees. if ur looking for telemarketing or call center job then let me tell u that the most important area in mumbai where these call centers are located in bulk is in the suburb i live and5 minutes from my house. and in my area u can get a good 3bkh flat on rent for like 10-15k / month in ruppees. these flats are prettly decent atleast by our living standards. get back to me with the details.

Bangalore is the city you should consider, but I assume "moving to" India for job maynot be a wise option. Because Indian Rupee 47.50 = 1 US Dollar.

moonchild thats only ONE factor. the exchange rate has nothing to do with the economy or opportunities. in fact japans exchange rate was worst during all its economic peak. currency rates are a reflection of the supply and demand, but also of inflation. inflation comes with the boom cycle of an economy as well as with political turmoil. a recession creates depreciation.

also, its actually Good in a way because when peace/her hubby move out there, their dollars will have much more power. they will be able to settle more comfortably and buy more things with their dollars than they ever imagined.

lets also not forget most commodities can be found dirt cheap in india, it is the luxury items and real estate that is very expensive.

i agree with u SGA but quality is one factor. but then with globalisation most famed american products can be found here.

there are lot of what u call call centre towns that have sprung up in the last decade , mumbai, delhi( gurgaon,noida) bangalore and even chennai and kolkata now.
