Just saw the video to Alanis Morissette's new song Crazy...ohh my!

Think it's a cool video and an awesome song. But you know what is even better? She has long hair again! Hooray!!!( hope they are not extensions)
Didn't like her with short hair.
Must get her new album!

Does anyone know if she is still engaged or not? Somehow this song tells me she isn't!

Thought you meant she IS crazy, hahaha

Yeah, I was making dinner and had MuchMusic on in the other room ( Canada's music station, it quite rocks!)
anyway, I heard crazy, and I thought.. wow, that sounds great, about time a woman did a version of this song.. then I saw it was her, and I was like.. Of course!!!
I like it!
I like Seal's version, but this is different, and i think she did a good job of it...
Like lots of songs, I like remakes, usually... plenty of people lend their own expression and blend to make it unique yet familiar!

Yeah, remakes are best when they are unique interpretations

...unless the unique interpretation includes scrapping the melody favoring screaming instead, then it sucks. I heard some band's version of the Rolling Stones Paint It Black yesterday, and it was terrible for the stated reason.

I have a version of Radiohead's High & Dry where I use an alternative chord pattern for the verses but maintain the same [singing] melody, and it's awesome.

For those into music, the song's a simple three-chord song: F#m A E. I transposed it down to Em G D, then added a new root to the chords. To Em I added C in the bass making it a CMaj7. To the G I added E in the bass making it Em7. To the D I added B in the bass making Bm7 (though I don't play the 7th in this case). At the chorus I go back to the regular chords. It adds a lot of flavor to the song, though it can trip up the singer at first.
