I started working at Target as a a cashier at the end of May, when school got out. Lame, but I thought it would be nice to have an independent source of income and a general sense of responsibility (Capricorn stellium speaking, of course).

It's a dreadfully dull job, but I've made friends with many of the people working there, and one of my fellow cashiers in particular caught my eye... mostly because, hey, I'm a hormone-crazed teenage girl. A tall, blonde, tanned, hazel-eyed Scorpio definitely caused a distraction for me .

For the first couple of weeks, I didn't talk to him very much, as we'd either be on opposite ends of the register lanes or working different shifts. But, in recent weeks, we've been around each other a lot, and as he's probably the most out-going, friendly Scorpio I've ever met, we became friends very quickly. He'd tease me about the fact that he's one of the fastest cashiers in our store (Target times every single transaction that we do... very irritating), and offered me lessons, etc. One day, during one of my breaks, he came in to the breakroom for his lunch, and sat down with me, and we had a long conversation about school, etc... in which I found out that he's 18 (a year older than me), went to a highly regarded prep school in our county, that we made the same SAT score, that he's going to Brown University on a baseball scholarship, and recently became single. He pleaded for me not to leave when my break was up, it was cute.

But he's just a very confusing person. He definitely has to have A LOT of air in his chart, because he seems to be able to become best friends with nearly anyone that will talk to him, which completely deflates my confidence.

But I had a nice Independence Day with him... we both worked the same shift, and were both super hyped about the Germany vs. Italy game which was going on while we were working. He tried very hard to get our manager to let us have our lunch at the same time so we could watch some of the match, which didn't work out, but it was still a fun time. He kept on yelling out the names of random German players, which was very funny. Then he gave me a Great Team Member Card and wrote on it "Thanks for being such a friendly person." It was a fun day, we weren't busy at all, so we talked a lot.
