Things have been tense around here lately, and some people are probably getting bruised, but something tells me the controversy is for the greater good.

I don't like the fighting any more than the next person. However, with some exceptions, I think people have been strong and respectful in voicing their opinions. It's uncomfortable for many, but it's good for us to know where one another stands.

I'm not going all Pollyanna on anyone, but a lot of this feels constructive.

Time will tell...

Makes sense to me.

It's hard to imagine anyone feeling bruised by this stuff though. Do you think? Dunno. It's all pretty silly from my perspective.

Hi future_uncertain,

I have to say, I get upset when I see members personally attacking each other. It's not why I came here.

I love that we all have different opinions and feel comfortable enough to share them, it's how we learn and grow and communication is such a major part in our lives.

I would sincerely love to see people agreeing to disagree and leaving the judgement and personal attacks out of the posts altogether.

I hear ya, purple scorp. It's not why I came here either. It certainly shocked me when I first bumped into it, but I lost my idealism for the place a while back.

Agreeing to disagree is best when there is no middle ground to be found, but if done too quickly, we can lose opportunities for clearer understanding, if that is what we seek. But you are right... once those possibilities are exhausted, there is nothing left to do.

Great thread future! I try to keep that in mind at all times. There is always a bigger picture, and a way to look at the situation from a different perspective, if we choose to. I do believe that all this has a higher purpose.

I think most people have been kinda ehhhh lately..chalk it up to the grand square that formed a little while back. Mars still opposes jupiter, not a fun aspect at all.
