Well lookie. You posted Neil Young. Like a hurricane too. Wow. You have really spent some time helping. I'm in awe of your patience. "if you like neil young on accoustic .." Oh yes. ___________________________________________ Scorpio sun, venus, mars, mercury, and uranus Libra moon, pluto, and asc.

Hey HD!How capable is your computer? I just started using this free recording program called Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and it's pretty easy to use. It was developed by Linux users, but they made it for Windows, too. Anyway, this program has been so easy so far it may be possible to collaborate long distance now. Since it's free you can even send the whole project prior to mix down to someone else. I'm not sure how long that would take, though. It seems to store the raw recordings as Wav files. I've only been working with it for a week, but the results have been good so far. The only thing I'm really upset about is the reverb effect. It isn't intuitive, and hasn't produced a desired sound for me yet, so I've run my instruments through the amp first on the way to the computer to get the amp's reverb. IP: Logged |
