I finished it in half a day (I'm a fast reader). Really fascinating! I gave one copy to my best friends in Christmas. I hope she'd like it too.IP: Logged |

QUOTE: it was very indiana jones and a bit fruity in some parts I totally agree! I read it because I study all things of a Biblical nature...but I am not a Christian. And it involved a bit of anagramming and lexagramming...codes..etcetera. IP: Logged |

Not finished it yet - I keep leaving it at my BF's house. I'm at the part where they're looking for the knight's tome. And feeling rather ambiguous about certain societal staples, if you know what I mean.... IP: Logged |

*tiptoes into this thread*Am I only one who found it poorly written in the style of Jackie Collins and her ilk? No character development, no surprises. The topic is facinating of course, but there have been other better books before his. I felt reading this was total waste of five solid hours. IP: Logged |

For me it was the subject matter more than the story that intrigued me. Definitely one of the few light reads I have picked up. I rarely read fiction. Was hoping to find more "clues" to truth than were there. But it ended up just another addition to the mythos. Was hoping for more word play/codes too....but alas there were not enough. Lucky for me I read fast. And I have no idea of how Jackie Collins writes or the others. NEVER read that stuff. This one caught my eye because it showed up in Biblical Archaeology ...and Bible Review...amongst others.

I absolutely loved the book...whether or not there was any truth to the subject matter; it was still a fascinating read. It got my mind going. I like a good suspense and this was no exception. I almost feel that I would have enjoyed the book more if I knew more about the secret societies involved. But then, they are secret, how much can one really know? Anyway, I'm eagerly anticipating the movie and I too love Tom Hanks. Spellbound IP: Logged |
