its kind of strange how we accept things without interogating about them. i have one piece of information which is quite a shock atleast for me. thought i should share...Bharat and republic of india are the two official names of India. but where does 'bharat' come from? i googled it. i clicked on a link taking me to an article in the online encyclopedia 'wikipedia'. i read some stuff over there and went to the recommended links. eventually after reading say 10 webpages i came to a conclusion. but i wanted the same cpnclusion to be written eslewhere to agree upon the fact i had uncovered. and i google got me that too. this is what i found out.... shock no 1. Tirthankar is a title that jains give to whom they consider 'elingtened'. rishabdev, who was the first tirthankar of the jains when went embraced the life of priesthood gave the control of his tribe(one of the many aryan tribes who had settled to north india) to his elder son Bharat.
when the tribes had conflict amongts themselves bharat, under the preachings of his father, decided to remain 'non-violent'. now unlike what modern jains & gandhi said about non-violence, rishabdev had strictly put forward the idea of defending once self 'violently' when under unjust attack. and thats exaclty what Bharat did and turned out to be the victor in the end. his control over all other tribes brought peace. he was crowned KING and thus started the Bharat dynasty! 'techincally' he and the entier bharat dynasty was jain! shock no 2 chandradagupta maurya, the first chakarvati (emperor) of india and the only in the world to defeat alexander's general...Seleucus Nicator, was a JAIN!!!
shock no 3 ashoka was a jain too! but by then, as like with any other religion, the disiples of jains had taken wrong advantage of non-violence in self defence. in his battle of kalinga when he saw thousands dead he decided to considering leaving the jain doctorine which was misused and embraced budhism which was very much similar to jainism but was not corrupted. shock no 4. "now i'm not saying this because i myself am a jain. i hate to be assocoatied with jainism as today, as we all know, jainism is all about not eating onions and potatoes! it ends there and foolish people follow it." continuing with shock no 4.... until the britishers came into india there was no religion called 'hinduism'!!! islam had a distinct identity and so did jains, buhdist and christians. offcourse also parisis (zorastriants)who came many centuries before. the brahmins in kashmir simply called 'kashmiri pandits' who still consider themselves as the highest category brahmins in india (and inturn the brahmins consider themselves as the higest caset in the world, u can imagine the superego!) started a moment to bring all the remaining indians following the caste system (other brahmins, vaishnavs, marwadis etc...) into one banner out of 'identity crisis'. as india was famous as hindustan back then they adopted the name hindu. eventually the brahmins (mind u the other caste still continue to languish under poverty) becamse so powerful and influtential that they adopted god like status and also went on to say that jainism and budhism were offshots of hinduism and blah! even many jains tend to believe the same. my father has mentioned my religion as 'hindu-jain' to the authorities to be written on my birth certificate! thankfully, there is no ancient script that refers to the word 'hindu' whether the ramayan or the mahabharat of which bhagvad gita is a part. shock no 5... 'hindu' comes from 'hindustan' which india was refered to by the sultans, monguls, th shahs and the pathans (all muslim!). the word hindustan comes from the word 'sindhu' the original name of the river indus (now is pakistan). the word sindhu was coined by the persians!!!! so the very word 'hindu' comes from the category of people (muslims) whom the hindus hate or are made to hate! hopefully if they realize this interconnectedness of the world they may stop the massacare. but why would they? u see? modern religion is a propoganda meant to be spread like my very own jainism (onions and potatoes!) so the very word 'hindu' comes from the category of people (muslims) whom the hindus hate or are made to hate! Not me..!! My best friend is a Muslim and I interchangably use 'Allah' for 'God'. But that has to do with the place I am coming from. Kerala, where Christians and Muslims outnumber Hindus, culturally identify and live harmoniously (unlike many parts of India)!!! By the way Hinduism is a way of life, not a religion. Only recently people started converting to Hinduism (thanks to political parties). IP: Logged |

Actually, you have no idea of actuality. Once you do, you wont be shocked at anything but you have to bear the first few shocks.Humanity is a genetically engineered species. The caste system followed by unenlightened Brahmins is actually similar to that of an alien reptilian species called "Dracos" where the fair skinned blue eyed Dracs were the top caste. All semitic religions are forms of mind control where the top ranked ALien Species in a particular space time catches hold of a certain bloke, makes him a "Prophet" and gives support of "Angels" in "fiery chariots" to mass hypnotize that race to conquer another and so on. Eastern Religions like Chinese systems, Jainism, Buddhism and sects of hinduism including brahminism come from self knowledge and/or interaction with higher beings who could be made of another substance (Ethereal) or are also peaceful Extra Terrestrials. That is why there is so much emphasis on peace, calm, energy, meditation, nature. Yoga, CHakras, Tantrik sciences and Alchemy could have been revealed under Astral meditation by different ET species blokes or HIgher Selves of deep contemplators. Later on under influence of malevolent ETs, some of these sects became rigid and followed the caste system. Actual Aryan Race is still a mystery even for those who know of ETs and so is the PErsian/Magi race. One clue is that they could be leftovers of the Atlantis age. Hindu/Muslim hatred is purely political and a by product of British Divide and rule policies. Today, some RSS type hindu sects are mimicking the semitic bad habits of mass organization, heavy rituals, identity, 'us versus them' and so on. The more the conflict, the more the "bloodshed" or free Prana for lower forms of malevolent ETS who feed of this bloodshed. All wars are provoked by these beings for food. Organized Religion is just an additional tool. That, my friend, is actuality in a nutshell. But you have to put a lot of unrelated clues from tons of sources to get at the truth. Believe me, I have been researching this for 8 years now and still have not finished the iceberg tip. IP: Logged |

Starcraft? No, maybe because I am from another generation, I played only Half-Life, Ceasar 3, RoadRash [non 3D] and Mortal Kombat 4 [Am unbeatable when I choose Liu Kang ]I am chronologically 29 man! [ though maturity wise 17 ] Am a Muslim myself but I converted to Spiritualism and hence I actualy adore all religious material [as long as it is not organized ] My stomach though remains muslim... There is only one true Natural Viagra for a man. It is called "A Loving Woman" Jainism is very interesting actually. The 24 tirthankaras actually represent something else. I have not figured that out but one Tantra Master said 2+4 = 6, the 6 physical chakras of Yoga. Ramayana, Mahabharata are all very important Yogic realities written as myths so that junta will faithfully remember them. Will elaborate this later on another string. It would be cool if you guys can get the Aghora series by Robert Svoboda to learn the true advanced dimension of HInduism.

You are 100% right, Chennai is the most irritatingly humid city in the world. Last 3 years we had 45+ degrees celcius WITH 80% humididty in peak summer. Life Sapping Dont know about Cochin but have been to Trivandrum many times. Excellent city of an excellent state! IP: Logged |
