Does anyone know how to eliminate or atleast reduce static electricity? I can't even wear my fluffy robe anymore because I shock everything when I wear it ------------------ http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6562/pchan_stockton.html IP: Logged |

Hi! Are you looking for a natural solution? Cuz, you can rub a dryer fabric softener sheet along it, or static guard spray... and that helps.. also, dry air in the winter time doesn't help. moisturise your skin.. just because. Pick up your feet when you walk on carpet? Um... don't smooch someone wearing wool. Don't reach for any doors to any malls. Inevitably, you will be shocked.Okay, so this is all silly.

Thanks for the tips pixelpixie. Is static guard the same thing as "scotch guard" or starch for the iron? ------------------ http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6562/pchan_stockton.html IP: Logged |

PChan,Started looking around for "static bracelets" on computer geek forums like " www.majorgeeks.com " If you zap your computer hardware when you are putting a computer together you will ruin it so the computer industry has a few solutions. Start looking in that area. IP: Logged |

Or have some fun with it! Did you know that hair static or a static charged sweater can light a small fluorescent light tube? Go in a dark room and try it! Rub the tube briskly with your hair or the statically charged item. Very cool! BTW...I have found that touching a grounded copper plate will discharge out my static by touching it. IP: Logged |

Beebuddy, I found some static bracelets here: http://www.esd.tv/wristband.html, but do I have to use a cord to connect it to something? I'm a bit confused. I don't think I'll be trying that lightbulb idea anytime soon ------------------ http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6562/pchan_stockton.html IP: Logged |
