I found this in a Home and Gardens magazine.

The meaning of roses:

Red - symbolizes Love, passion, respect, courage

Yellow - Joy, friendship, freedom

Pink - Happiness, gratitude, appreciation, admiration

Creams - Thoughtful, charming, gracious

Orange - Admiration, fascination, enthusiasm, desire

White - Innocence, purity, secrecy, reverence

It didn't give all the colors.... I guess just the most common.

It was an old issue. My mother has a subsription and passes them on to me when she's finished.

I thought it was interesting also. I always send white roses for every occasion. Now that I look at the meaning... it may not always be the most appropriate.

I love white roses... also there is a really pretty purple rose. What is your favorite?

My absolute favorite are daisies and tulips. Oh and magnolias.

Roses have had meaning since the dawn of time. Everyone knows that a red rose is a symbol for love but did you know that when you give a bouquet of white and red roses, it means unity?

Thanks for posting that extra info Scorp! Reallt there's a purple rose?? Wow, I think that's probably be my favourite, though really, bundles of all colours together would make me soooo happy

OK no..they are lovely, but if I had to choose one, classic red rose would probably be my favourite!

Those red ones are nice They look soft to touch.

Well, I have to agree with you... that bouquet of mixed roses is beautiful.

I love flowers. Can't wait until spring.
