LOL, I see we're practicing our Synchronized posting today! I'm pretty sure the blue heart is described on the smilies page as "compassion" -- and I thought that was the quality I'd most like to express, so I always head my posts with it. I'm taken aback that you thought so much of my "leaving". Funny, isn't it, that I never expect people to miss me when I'm gone? As for how my world is, it's shaken up a little -- once again. The last two months were a nightmare that I just woke up from early this week. I just lost another romantic partner, so my heart's feeling a little empty, but I'm functionally over it by now. But I can say that I've learned a lot lately, grown a bit. I had some time to do some heavy soul-searching. Someone once said that the birth of wisdom is often accompanied by great pain, and I can't disagree. But as long as we come out better for it on the other side, I say it's all worth it. So, I'm back, I'm better, and -- best of all -- at least for this weekend, I'm going to enjoy myself as much as humanly possible. It's great to make contact again with the people (and Knowflakes!) that I've missed for so long. Hey, I finally read a Robert Heinlein book. Loved it! Here's a cool quote: "The world is full of tragedy; if you let it overwhelm you, you cannot enjoy life's innocent pleasures." I think that's going to be my motto-of-the-moment. Your turn.
