"Piano Maestro Geroge Gershwin was influenced very much by French composers of the early twentieth century. Upon meeting composer Maurice Ravel, Gershwin asked him of the possibility of becoming a student of composition under the master. Ravel is said to have replied, "Why should you be a second-rate Ravel when you can be a first-rate Gershwin?" "Both these great pianists died in 1937 and due to failed brain surgeries. Pls post any strange synchronicities like these here. Someday, some astrologer is going to thank you because some important connections will be found because of this.

I'm not sure if you'd call this a syncronicity........but one of my best friends, was married to a JOHN KENNEDY ...and her sister BARBARA was married to a guy named BUSH ....so each of them had the name of two of our first ladies.... MRS. JOHN KENNEDY

Wow Foot in Mouth, that was Cool! I have heard of the Lincoln Kennedy synchronicity too.Hi Rainbow, I think that was definitely a powerful synchronicity for them. Imagine the mathematical odds!

I had to post it, just because it still blows my mind....  Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head. Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln. Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners.
Both successors were named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Thanks for posting it! Someday, a very close analysis of transits in their lives will unveil the reasons for this kind of match.Another one I am strongly thinking about is whether Enid Blyton is the parallel soul of JK Rowling. The first Harry Potter book was released 1997, a "Saturn Return" since Enid Blyton's death in 1968. Enid Blyton's stories are a clear cut inspiration for several Harry Potter episodes.
The only character Blyton did not create properly was a Boy Wizard. Every other kind was fully explored. Boy and Girl detectives, fantasy, animals, wishing chairs, elves, pixies, gnomes, talking toys and so on.
Nor did Enid get 1/1000th of the wealth for 1000 times the creative output. Was it a progressed plan by the Higher Self?

Hi geminstone....I'm familiar with those synchronicities and I believe that most of them are correct.... However, I think somewhere along the line, someone wanting to expand on them added the last one which is totally incorrect.... quote:

Marilyn Monroe was already dead when Kennedy was shot in November 1963... Marilyn died in August 1962.... So he couldn't possibly have been with her a week before he died.....thought I'd let you know, so that the next time you post it, you'll not add that last one...
Incidentally, I remember both incidents...(I'm an "oldie")

Hi PChan,
I have not read Jung but I knew he really investigated synchronicities. He also researched Kundalini, my favorite topic, and called it Anima or something. Somehow, he could not digest the reality of Eastern Esotericism for presenting to the Occidental scholars. It was a quick search, cut and paste, on my part but, even at that, I admit that I've never been good with regard to dates in history.... The 23 Synchronicity of Norman Robert Pogson:Pogson was a British astronomer who headed the Chennai Observatory in India for 30 years. He was born March 23 1829. He died June 23 1891. He discovered Asteroid ISIS on May 23 1856. This was his first asteroid discovery. An asteroid was named after him and given the number 1830. In his birth chart, this asteroid "Pogson" is found on 23 degrees Scorpio! Other notable points:
On the day of his discovery of Asteroid Isis,
the asteroid DISCOVERY was on 13 Pisces, Asteroid TALENT was on 12 Pisces. His Natal ASteroid KARMA was also on 12 Pisces and transit Asteroid YES was exactly trine asteroid POGSON and best of all, transit ISIS was exactly trine transit POGSON.
This proves beyond any probability the importance of asteroids and the mysterious connection of Higher Selves in carefully inspiring the naming of asteroids because asteroid Pogson was undiscovered when he was discovering Isis!
