Seems someone's working on one of the ideas I've had. I found this headline for a Business Week article in an email I received today: quote:
Here Comes Lunar Power Over the years hydropower has been eclipsed by the sun and other hot-topic fuel sources in the quest for alternative energy. But many are saying that to truly think green we must look to the great blue ocean. Now several companies are taking to the waves as they seek to combat the high price of natural gas and coal.
I guess I won't be having to figure out how that works. The most easily harnessed perpetual motion we have available to us, it's always baffled me why we aren't using it for energy. I saw that, and went exploring to see who's doing what, and came across this article, which is quite Aquarian as well: http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=10926 Not so sure about the accuracy of estimating the cost as being less than building power plants on Earth, but it's an interesting idea none the less. Ah, here's some stuff on ocean power: http://www.oceanpd.com/ http://www.oceanpowertechnologies.com/ http://www.eere.energy.gov/RE/ocean.html I had a crazy, bizarre idea the other day. Somehow my mind conjured up the idea that if we have Star Trek-like teleporters someday, then we could also have our bowel waste teleported, too. How cool would that be? No more trips to the restroom, just have the teleporter lock onto that poop and beam it out of you. Would be awesome! (Hey! I warned you that this was an Aquarian conversation.) IP: Logged |

Cool topics! That last one was twisted..but funny! Seriously though...tumor removal...birthing if the baby is in trouble...blood clot removal in stroke patients...all kinds of things could be transported!

AG-Why didnt I think of that?!?!?! ((Definitely Aquarian)) ---
Awesome thoughts, fayte!
Its funny to think of a baby getting beamed up out of the womb, and into mom's smiling arms. I wonder if the baby would still cry? There's a charming legend about the birth of the Toaist sage, Lao Tzu. It is said that he was born laughing. How cool is that! IP: Logged |

HSC yes..very cool! Yes..the baby would still cry. The baby cries to clear its lungs. And yes..I have also heard that charming story of Lao Tzu. My son hummed and made little sounds that sounded like "ooooh yeahhh!" when he was born....staring at me and smiling. It was freaky weird very cool! But then he was quiet after that. He only did it the first hour or so after being born. IP: Logged |
