Does anyone here know how to get Spyware Quake off of your hard drive. This stupid ass bloody rogue "antispyware" program has somehow attached itself to our sytem. And I have spent a full weekend now trying to get it off.

Even the change/remove programs section of my programming will not remove its parts entirely so we have a stupid screaming Virus Alert popping up on the screen every half an hour. The application file is the one that my computer will not delete..I have rid the machine of the rest...

Anybody here a wiz with this stuff or know what to do? I assume after the bogus trial period is up it will stop flashing and prersenting but i don't want to put up with this s@@@! for a full month...

My computer got that about a year ago and my husband, computer wiz that he is and everything, couldn't get it off. He tried doing a refrag and virus scan and all that other typical stuff and it didn't work. He had to wipe it and reinstall everything. I lost lots of stuff. But, in my case, I think it was more than just spyware. I didn't use that computer very often and, apparantly, something else got on there too that was constantly downloading other stuff and by the time we caught it ... well, it wasn't pretty.
Hope someone else here has some really good advice. I'll be checking for it too, just in case.
