I overheard my son say to his little female friend "now we are going to play a game that I take you out for a date, we are going to a restaurant and then afterwards we will get married, I have got the ring and I hope it fits"He is 7 she is 6......hehehehe..... On mothers day he gave me a card and written on it was...."I love you Mum. I dont care if you have lady grumps. You are a special mum. I will love you forever" and he had drawn nine s. Lady grumps btw is my word for PMS.....hehehehe..... I asked him what the teacher had said when she read it and he said "oh she just smiled". Her birthday is the same day as mine.....I bet she gets lady grumps too..... Sweet or what? IP: Logged |

The other thing he does is very funny tooo.....He has assumed an effected french accent and walks around shouting yes dahlink, no dahlink, very good dahlink (darling that is). You should hear how loud I Iaugh when he does this, which of course encourages him to do it more....he is such a gas character !!!!!!!! He claims that when he is a man, he will own an art gallery in London and drink sherry with his little finger stuck out....HAHAHAHAHAHA......what is HE ON???? I always wanted an amusing child.....hehehehe.....God is kind, for sure.......!!!!!!!!!!! IP: Logged |

Children are such a Blessing!!! My daughter has recently begun talking in her sleep. So, when I hear her, I sneak into her room and ask her questions about what she is saying...Its pretty hilarious!!! When she wakes up in the morning she remembers and will explain her dream further which usually leads to the two of us cracking up laughing! I Love to annoy her too! She is turning 13 in two weeks, so she tries to pretend she doesnt want to spend too much time with me, so I will usually bust in her room and make up some crazy song that I sing at the top of my lungs and get her to laugh!!! We have so much fun being goofy together!!!

That is super darling! I have a 6 year old son so I can relate to the darndest things they say. He is in Kindergarten and there is a boy named Sean that is teased for his very noticable under bite. My son Bailey was trying to comfort him and help him out a bit...but instead my son says: "Sean, all you gotta do is get a new face!".. O gosh you know he was just trying to help! I had to laff but feel awful for the little boy at school. Anywho they are the cutest boogers, I know. xo VCIP: Logged |

If your familiar with the movie "Toy Story", then this will be much appreciated! When my now six yr. old turned 5, he was asked a couple days after his B-Day party, "What did you get for your birthday?" He said with finger on chin and in true Scorp style, "I gotta cake, a Buzz and a Woody! IP: Logged |

Kids are funny. My ex brother in law's 4 year old asked if that was where marshmallows come from when he saw several dozen huge round hay bales wrapped in white plastic lined up in a field. They DO look like giant marsmallows! IP: Logged |

Driving home from school today....I dug out a tape I had not listened to for ages....Jacob shouted "oooohh I love this tune" and proceeded to hum along with it almost note for note. The piece of music was Peter Tchaikovsky's overture to Romeo and Juliet...... Very apt wouldnt you say....... IP: Logged |

Sue those tales are so cute...and you're not wierd...I look at my son and daughter with amazement quite often........My mum never said I was beautiful or anything so I do it all the time with my kids, and tell them I love them. The sweetest thing recently my daughter Katy said was as follows.... I had to leave the country to go to the US with work last September, just for six days. Before I left 5 year old Katy came up to me with her hands cupped. She said, "I have something for you." I didn't dare look thinking it would be a worm or spider. But it was just empty. She said, "In here is my heart, put it with yours and take it to America with you." And she put her hands on my chest. I cried. When it comes to love, children are far ahead. Check this out:============================================= Touching words from the mouth of babes. ------------------------------------------- What does Love mean? A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers!!! When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love. Rebecca- age 8 When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4 Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl - age 5 Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs. Chrissy -age 6 Love is what makes you smile when you're tired. Terri - age 4 Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK. Danny - age 7 Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss. Emily - age 8 Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen. Bobby - age 7 If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate Nikka - age 6 Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday. Noelle - age 7 Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well. Tommy - age 6 During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared.I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore. Cindy - age 8 My mommy loves me more than anybody . You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night. Clare - age 6 Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken. Elaine-age 5 Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford Chris - age 7 Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day. Mary Ann - age 4 I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones. Lauren - age 4 When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you. Karen - age 7 Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross. Mark - age 6 You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it.But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget. Jessica - age 8 And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry" ============================================= IP: Logged |

Wonderful Iqhunk That is how I feel about children's wisdom also, even in one of my signature quotes. ------------------ ~I intend to continue learning forever~"Fayte" ~I am still learning~ Michangelo The Door to Gnosis is never permanently locked...one only needs the correct keys and passwords. The pious man with closed eyes can often hold more ego than a proud man with open eyes. Out of the mouth of babes commeth wisdom that can rival that of sages. In the rough, or cut and polished..a diamond is still a precious gem. -NEXUS- IP: Logged |
