I just finished Charlotte Bronte's Villette. It is now one of my all time favorites. I've already started to reread it. There are a few books i own that i cant help but read over and over again. some beingPride and Prejudice Jane Eyre Gooberz Hardcore Zen Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius East of Eden The Great Gatsby Harry Potter series Ive read all of these at least 4 times through, some more. not to mention just browsing through. What books do you keep coming back to time and time again? IP: Logged |

Zenwarner......Pride and Predjudice ......for me too... have read it at least three or four times....can't rememeber... ....and also like you..... Jane Eyre twice Gooberz twice and a half.... Others to which I have returned.....and what a joy to make return visits to these other worlds... David Copperfield Wuthering Heights Great Expectations Islandia Lady The Wings of the Morning (three times) The Ultimate Frontier Dear and Glorious Physician Devil Water Gone With The Wind (three times, love the movie too) Forever Amber I Capture the Castle TRANCE Formation of America Access Denied Brief Gaudy Hour (about Anne Boleyn) There's probably more that I can't think of right now...but I really do love going back to read books that I've enjoyed in the past... The Ultimate Frontier, TRANCE Formation of America, and Access Denied...are not exactly books to "enjoy" but are books filled with important information which is hard to digest in JUST ONE reading.... I am currently reading TRANCE Formation of America for the THIRD time...

I think there are two Islandias so make sure you get the one I'm talking about.....My author is......Austin Tappan Wright Must tell you a little story about The Wings Of The Morning too.... I totally fell into that book...I WAS THERE... It was written by a former actor (new deceased) the handsome Thomas Tryon... I knew he was writing a sequel, as it was mentioned in the book...and I searched on the internet for it, only to find that he was never able to do it as he passed away before he could get to it...and needless to say I was keenly disappointed, not to mention sad over his passing. *sigh* But guess what? On another search...I found that he had indeed written that sequel and called it In The Fire of Spring. Well like after about nine years I was finally able to order and read the sequel....also excellent..... ......and then I started a movie in my mind....and decided the two stars of the movie THE WINGS OF THE MORNING would be Johnny Depp as Captain Sinjin Grimes, and Renee Zellweger as Georgiana Ross... They would be perfect for the parts if a movie was ever made of it...*sigh*
Just felt like sharing that with you... IP: Logged |

PS....Thomas Tryon also wrote Lady which I came upon by accident and is entirely different from his other books...I also read All That Glitters also by him and it too, was coincidence as well as different...a good writer.... IP: Logged |
