I've always heard that it means you'll get money - but probably, you just need to use some moisturizer on your hands.

When your feet are itchy, it's suppose to mean you're going to go somewhere you've never been before.

When your nose is itchy, you're going to kiss a fool, or somebody is thinking about you in a sexual way - maybe the "fool" lol(oh, my nose is itchy now - wierd lol)

When your ear rings, someone is talking about you. Left ear, they're talking good. Right ear, they're talking bad.

Anyone know any other "wives tales" like this?

If you wear a necklace with a pendant, when the back clasp slides down toward the front next to the pendant, then someone is thinking about you. I forget which side means good or bad.

Have any of you guys heard of this bit about palm reading?

Roll the hand up in a fist, look toward the outside edge of the palm and count the number of lines in between the heart line and the base of the pinkie finger. The number of lines indicates how many children a person will have.

Has this proven true for any of the parents here?

The palmistry...

The line that runs horizontally between the pinkie and the heart line, as Aphrodite said, is indicative of major relationships.. the tiny vertical lines that branch off from the main horizontal line is what indicates children.. or influences of children. If they touch the furrow, then they are yours, if they are around, but not touching exactly, it indicates children who are dear to you but not yours.
That's traditionally what is said, anyway.

look just below your little finger, on the SIDE of the palm. It is said that the number of small lines you have will predict the number of kids you will have.

Your dominant hand is indiciative of your outer self, the less dominant hand, your inner self... I usually read the most dominant hand, as it is your outer self.... but they evolve.

Your heart line is the uppermost line, below your digits.
I suppose you can google a palmistry text site, or find pictures.
I have a few books, and I have read quite a few hands with some success... more a parlour game, but , as anything, there is something to it.
