Check this link out about a family who has encountered unbelievable obstacles just for trying to feed their kids a raw food diet.

That made me cry, it's absolutely wrong.

I'm planning on being raw forever, having a raw pregnancy & raising raw children.

Like this lovely family.

Check out this other family, most of their children have NEVER eaten cooked foods or animal products, ever!!! It's a beautiful way to live.

That story is really sad, Eleanore. I read about it in mainstream news sources when Woyah died and it was reported that she wasn't being breastfed because it wasn't 'vegan'. It's possible that it was a lie.. I could believe that, but I don't know for sure.
It seemed so absurd that I had a hard time believing it was true. At any rate, it's all very sad- her death and then the rest of the children being taken away. They looked very healthy in those pictures.

Thanks for the update, prox. So I'm going to conclude that the news article I read was lying about the breastfeeding. That update says she is bf her new baby and she looks like a well fed baby in the pictures.
It's awful that after three years they still don't have their children back.

Somehow I'm thinking that this might not have happened to them if they were middle class white folks.

Thanks for the update, proxieme.
I still can't believe that happened, though. When did our children become government "property" to be taken away at a moment's notice for an unfounded suspicion? And why is it the parent's fault if other people are ignorant about a raw/living food diet? And, frankly, it would be nice though nearly impossible, if charges could be filed against all the folks involved who took those kids and placed them in a home with only a "cooked" food diet ... where they shortly after fell very sick for the first times in their lives. How is that not neglect? Disease may be common but it is not "normal". I'm very saddened by this story but am happy that, in the end, it has worked out so that the parents can finally (and rightfully) have their children back. Perhaps that was one of their missions/purposes/trials in this life ... to endure such terrible pain and suffering in order to bring awareness to the giant lot of ignorance pervading current outlooks on health and diet.
