I had this dream last night but something happened in it that I want to know if it is true in real life. That's why I am posting this here.I was in an office block and was waiting for someone. When the person came, I greeted him by screaming ( not words, but just normal screaming) and he greeted me back by screaming too. It was a way of greeting! Also, and this may be important, I was in New Zealand, in an office block, in the dream. Is there a culture out there that uses screaming as a way of greeting, perhaps from around NZ, or could this be a glimpse into a past life? Or, is this something different? IP: Logged |

I don't know of any culture off hand that does this, other than teeny-bopper girls (usually precedes a jumping hug - even if they just saw each other 3 days ago)IP: Logged |

Screaming? High pitched scream? Screaming like you saw a ghost? Screaming as in shouting? Interesting dream nonetheless IP: Logged |

Wild. The only thing I know offhand that uses a scream as a greeting is a bird... The Artic Tern I think. Also little children often scream with great glee at others doing something that delights them......or upon seeing a person they missed and are happy to see. Same for lovers or old friends who have not seen each other in awhile, and upon a surprise reunion will often shriek or scream in joy at the sheer sight of seeing each other! Fans scream in ecstasy when greeting a rock star or famous person. In most cultures a loud or screaming greeting is considered rude. Exceptions are the Hallooooos of hunters to each other or greetings shouted from across a field or whatever. ------------------ ~I intend to continue learning forever~"Fayte" ~I am still learning~ Michangelo The Door to Gnosis is never permanently locked...one only needs the correct keys and passwords. The pious man with closed eyes can often hold more ego than a proud man with open eyes. Out of the mouth of babes commeth wisdom that can rival that of sages. WN- Screaming as in shouting.Talking about celebrities et al, I should mention this too. In the dream, after our greeting, he said I had a flawless voice and should try out singing, to be a pop star! IP: Logged |

Shouting actual words, like HELLO THERE, JIM!!!! HOW **ARE*** YOU?!??!?! like you would do if he was across a canyon from you??Or shouting, as in AUUUUUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!! but with a smile in your eyes, and a greeting in your heart?? Oh, I see - I reread your original post, and nope, there were no words, just yelling. Maybe it's just a spiritual ackowledgment, but a very enthusiastic one. What was the feeling of the dream? That will tell you a heck of alot. IP: Logged |
