I just got a really great deal on a new computer. Any suggestions on what I need to keep in mind when changing them out?

I'm currently waiting for my music to transfer to my USB drive, so I've got some time on my hands.

yes.. keep in mind..that your PC will fail you and get a virus regardless of precautions taken.

my advice is to trade your comp in for a Mac~

Good advice! I'd love to try out a Mac.

I'm on the new one now, and I'm stoked. It's weird being without MSOffice. I don't even have Outlook Express. But oh, the storage... and the speed! Incredible. I love it.

Hey, congrats, AG!

You might try OpenOffice - it's a free word-processor thing, like MSWord.

Or can you just transfer MSOffice from one to the other? I dunno.

Thanks, Johnny. One of my roommates suggested OpenOffice, so I did get that. Unfortunately you can't directly transfer programs. I'm gonna miss the Macromedia suite I had.

No problem, Lovely*.

At this point I do have the OpenOffice, which can open Word documents, so I'm not terribly concerned about Office anymore.
