I am sooooooo excited! I'll post a pick when it's all healed up.I know here you'll appreciate how synchronistic it was... My hubby booked the day off work because our daughter had a graduation ceremony for her successful completion of kintergarden. Afterwards, because we had time, We went down there to book a consultation/session.. the tattoo artist was there, and he started fiddling with the design a bit on paper, and said it could be done, etc.. We were there for a while, and he seemed keen on doing it for me.... someone who had booked a block of time didn't show.. so he said if I wanted to, he could do it right then. !!!!!!!!!!!!! ( keep in mind, this is an exceptional tattoo place, and they book a long time in advance, generally) of course, I got a little "omigosh.. really?" and started feeling a tad anxious, but cool with it. The problem was that it was between pay periods, and we couldn't flub the budget so much.. and they didn't take credit card.... So... I phoned my mom on her cell phone, for a loaner, to pay her back on friday.. and she happened to be around the corner!!! She drives a bus for the city, and a bank was literally on the block before..... so she said if we met the bus in five minutes or so ( on the next block) she'd have no problem with that. THIS WAS SO VERY DESTINED!!! And it looks AMAZING!!! I am so impressed.. I can't wait to take the bandage off and look at it. He even took a picture of it, he was impressed with his work.. so maybe my tattoo will be on their website! oh I am so excited!!! * giggles maniacally*

Exactly! Isn't that cool???I just took the bandage off, and it's swollen like I can't even believe, and of course, there's lymph.. but I took some pictures anyway... once it heals, I'll take more pics. Here it is... ( keep in mind it's swollen and sore still..and I've got pigment hanging out and the bandage mark..... but it'll be awesome) From the top... IP: Logged |

Thanks! It's swollen, so every time I walk, it's sore and tight feeling... but once it's healed, I will post a better one. The comparison between both my feet you can really tell just HOW swollen it is... SOOOOOOOO worth it though!IP: Logged |

Thanks!! I love it! I'm not going to say it wasn't painful.. it was a tattoo.... BUT.. completely tolerable.. I founmd if I watched the process, it was less painful... I guess I could anticipate the movements or something.... I'd do it again though....Tattoos ARE addictive! I like the two I have now, but I am not opposed to getting more. I always thought I'd have one or two.. but if something means a lot to me, or catches my facy .. who knows!? Thanks for the comments. I'm glad I got it! IP: Logged |

PixelJust got a tribal fish on my foot. The girl that did it is a very talented artist, she designed it per my requests and I will go back to her SOON. An addiction, ah, yes. I am ready for my 4th now! The foot was painful, but far less than the one on my back, that was beyond painful!! Terri IP: Logged |

Pixelpixie Your tattoo is enchanting! The colors and design are so beautiful!I have always liked the way tattoos look on other people but have been hesitant about getting one myself.I saw a really gorgeous one of the eye of Horus on a girls foot recently, and have been thinking about what kind of tattoo I would get if I ever were to.Hippichick, your fish tattoo looks very deep and beautiful also. Now I am thinking maybe it wouldnt be such a bad idea for me someday soon.I am a Libra sun Scorpio moon,It is hard for me to make up my mind and when I do it has to be perfect, and a little out there (aquarius ascendant) Well if you got any ideas let me know!I have always felt a mystical connection with Egypt and Nature overall, maybe something toward those.Peace Love and Light to you rainbows ElizaIP: Logged |

Oh Hippichick!! I see it! Awesome! I like that it's the suggestion of a fish, but in black ( I love black art tattoos!)I got more of a reaction from this one than I did from my black/grey /no colour one on my back.... It could be because feet naturally swell more, or the colour and pigments used... Just today, the swelling is going down.. though still swollen. I have to work on my feet tonight.. not looking forward to it!!! Eliza.. go to it! Definately marks transitions in your life, and I swear, every time I look at it, I feel happy. It just makes me happy! IP: Logged |

Just had to say, pixelpixie, that I think your tattoo is beautiful! It's bright, bold and romantic but not ostentatious. ------------------ "To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor. When these have been educated to their highest point, then is the time to offer them to the service of their fellowman, not before." - Manly P. Hall IP: Logged |
