I HAVE to see that. Well, Di can't be perfect at EVERYTHING!
I'm guessing Ryan to be Scorpio and Capricorn mix. The Cap shy thing sometimes doesn't let the Scorp intensity out. Maybe when he's feeling it emotionally the Scorp comes out (moon) or maybe the Cap is just the AC and we will be seeing less shyness as he gets used to the stage etc. But the Cap perfectionist seems to be coming out in the song writing? I'm going to try to download and watch that. Thanks AG

OH so Capricorns ARE SHY? I am getting set up with a Capricorn and I was just told that he is shy.

Unfortuneately, I have been working full time so I can't watch that online thing that AG watches. Yeah, that's not really fair to have that but not everyone can see it.

I thought they were going to each do the song that they wrote on air?

I believe it's been referred to as "crippling insecurity" in the spoof scopes! hehe

I am bummed that I can't see the behind the scenes stuff because I just can't download them. There is some glitch and I don't know what I need to fix it. It will say it is "Loading" at the top but the bottom bar will say "Done." I can leave it there all night and it never loads anything. But at least they aren't charging yet, for those who CAN download it.
This week Zayra did her original. It was like, "Here is the top single for my solo career album, screweth youeth SuperN!"
"Also...
I will sing it in Spanish."
hehe It was actually good. But, as far from what SuperN's music will be as humanly possible.
Well, maybe not quite as far as 10 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, but close.

Dave liked Dilana best tonight, but I liked Ryan and Lukas better this time. Di was great, like always, and Cats In the Cradle is an awesome and emotional song, but she could have went over the top with it and she didn't. Oh, Toby was great too. I liked that song and his voice worked well with it.
Storm was stinko, but at least she is toning down the idiot act facial expressions.

They need to give me front row tickets to the show. Those front row girls hardly pay attention, let alone swoon and drool properly. I could be a proper audience for Ryan, Lukas and Dilana... the kind they deserve.

Go Dave and The Panic Channel!!!! Just released their album.

Well, about Capricorns...we're not shy. We're just described that way for lack of a better term. I think we're mostly composed. We don't go out of our way to make nice or talk, so people think we're shy, aloof, snooty or standoffish. Shyness is more about a social phobia. Caps aren't generally afraid to talk, and we're typically only socially nervous when we're forced to make small talk with strangers, or we're surrounded by crazy people.
________________________________

That sucks about not being able to watch the webisodes. I didn't see this week's yet. Maybe tomorrow night.

Zayra's song was the first song she sang on key, but I thought it was terrible. You're supposed to prove something with your original song. I don't think it proved anything except that she's obviously not the one for this band. It was kind of disgusting.

Once again, I have to disagree with the band's notion that they should all fight for the choice songs. What are they supposed to do? They're supposed to make enemies with all their housemates in the name of fighting for a song? I completely disagree with giving them sh!t over not warring with one another over the songs.

It was a tough week for songs. I didn't like most of them.

Dilana was ok. I think I'm tired of her. She's a decent performer, but I'm not big on her old lady smoker voice. She seems really cool as a person, though.

I liked Ryan and Lukas, though I didn't care for either of the songs they had to sing. I think Lukas was the better of the two, but I voted for Ryan over Lukas.

Toby and Gilby: Why did Gilby choose that simple song to play on? Who knows. Once again, not a favorite song of mine, so it was boring to me. Toby was fine singing it.

I thought Storm did ok. Crap song to have to sing for an audition for a rock band, but it wasn't her choice to put it on the board. I really thought she did alright with it considering how hard it is to change that song meaningfully (especially when it's already been updated by Cake).

Just wanted to let you guys know that I stopped by and read your replies but I don't know what to say yet about last night.

Every show now I am so distracted by the pets, so I don't remember everything like when I first started watching it.

I enjoyed both of your replies, though.

Regarding the Shyness thing;

Is that what you meant about crippling insecurity?
I asked a friend yesterday about her Cappy husband and she said yes, he was shy when they first met.
You know, I am a Taurus and I was a very, very shy person when I was younger, and especially in high school, and then partly in my 20's. Now I can't call myself shy at all. I will smilingly greet people everywhere all the time, start conversations, etc!!! My Aries Moon and Rising took over that trait.

Anyhow let's see what happens tonight.

I was so shy in high school I didn't go to any proms. No way could I ask a boy out, let alone let someone know I liked him!

I did go to school dances with friends ~ but not the kind you ask a date to.

Hmmm...trying to figure out the video problem... !! I hear the ad going...

Ok, my computer at work couldn't watch them either. I updated my Windows Media player here to 10, and now it works. It still took a while to start, but now it's running fine. It is the Vegas episode now. I only watched the first segment, but Toby and Lukas were the first to pass out. Jason said he was watching how people handled themselves, so passing out may be a bad thing. Ryan intentionally handled himself ok, and they showed him with a couple blonds a couple times.

Well, don't get all SNOBBY about it, AG!

JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehhehe

Well, I have a Cap moon and it has always been terrifying for me to sing in front of people, even though I love to sing, so I always identified with the Cappy shy thing. I think a lot of it has to do with the perfectionist thing, as I refuse to get in front of people and humiliate myself... at least not very often...

ANYWAY
that show we're watchin'...

Woo Hooo!!! I love it that SuperNova is going to play with them. Exactly how the show should be done! I liked the different camera lens deal, it was cool, but I didn't like losing that live feel with the sound. I hated it that Tommy, Gilby and Jason turned into blended background music. I am used to hearing more individual sounds from the boys... pounding drums and pronounced guitar riffs.
Fire the sound guy!!! hehe

It just got done here (the song).

I'd be seriously considering throwing the competition at this point. I thought it was a terrible song. Phil would have been great for it. He would have brought the right frat-boy sensibility to it.

Oh nice! Ryan's got the encore.

(I'm updating as I go) I loved the shock of Toby getting nominated to the bottom three. See what you get for playing with Gilby? LOL

Hey dudes or baby,

I've been watching now for about a month. I have not been skimming these threads until this evening though!

I totally agree with you AG on your last post.

Initially I thought Dilana was the right person because she has this hard core been there attitude; she seems like she was bron to be tommy lee's counterpart..and seemed to fit beautifully well,,,but more and more she reminds me of melissa etheridge, who i'm not crazy about.

Storm Large.. is a joke. I think her shtick is lousy...her range is low and gutteral and she over does it. it's like, the name is cheesy..lets see if we can verify it.

toby is too clean for supernova.

the bald guy sounds like michael hutchins...& he doesn't [belong here] in the band, does he?

who will win? my best guess is ryan. the gorgeous scorpio.

is he scorpio?

oh nikolas..is a dwarf in comparison to anyone else here in my opinion.

The song was good, the sound guy was bad. I highly doubt that song is their release single, just a song on the album. It just sounded boring because the sound was so over-produced. It's also hard to sing a song that you didn't write with the proper emotion, unless you have really taken the time to fully understand it. I have no idea how long she had, but she did fine. It will get better. Someone has to notice the sound and fix it. I hope.

"I refuse to get in front of people and humiliate myself... at least not very often"
OMG Exactly!!! That's how I feel!!! I also don't like people staring at me. I don't like people looking/watching me. I could never be famous because I don't like to be the center of attention.

Anyhow, Well......I did enjoy Dillana playing with the boys. I look forward to seeing how this goes now each week.

I was really, really surprised that Ryan got the encore, and Magni was in the bottom three. I thought Magni was great and should have gotten the encore. I also thought Lukas did well this week.

I am waiting for Patrice to be booted next.

Storm's "I will survive"....ugly mouth ugly face......well......she was just trying to be ugly, mean, hardcore......and she should just try and rock out instead. Although she just seems more "Spice girl" type to me than hard rock type.

Why do they keep singing repeated songs? For example, Patrice sang Celebrity Skin but Lukas already sang it. And 2 people repeated the same Nirvana song, and 2 people repeated another song I can't think of it right now. There are SO MANY good songs to choose from, why don't they choose others?

I was recently wondering what Dave's purpose is of being there. I mean, he's not in the band, so why do we care for his opinion? Is he just there to add character, style, and conversation?

*Liaison* - good word!

You know, I was thinking, it would be really cool if someone would sing Livewire by AC/DC. They need to start singing some wild, cool, hard rock songs.

Why are they so hung up on Nirvana, Hole, Radiohead, etc? Come on!

Even if they sang the Doors that would be cool!

I've never cared for AC/DC myself.

Nirvana and Radiohead are modern classics. I think that's why they're hung up on them.

I do agree that Supernova does sound more like an old school rock band. They need to find a way to bring in the young crowd, though, so that may require some compromise in allowing modern elements.

Lukas can show me his back side anytime. hehe I'm starting to think Gilby has a touch of homophobia. Aww, he's probably mostly right. Experience trumps cute rear.

WOW, that was awesome.
Everyone was so good. Well, I'm still not a big Storm fan. She is true to her stark masculinity in that she is not in touch with her emotions or the emotions of the songs she sings.
Toby was awesome. I'm disagreeing with the handsome Gilby tonight. I loved that arrangement and I was thinking that for the first time I actually enjoyed "Layla." I usually find that song mildly annoying and played out. I also loved the energy, Jason was right, as usual.
Magni's voice was awesome but he does the weirdest face things... and I really don't like the whole nose squish move.
I was thinking Dilana wasn't fully into it, but her explanation at the end made everything understandable and meaningful. She is always too cool. And we will all "be watching" her, as I'm sure message board posts around the nation are proclaiming at the same time that I write this...

Lukas did just what Jason told him to do (opened up the voice and let it out while keeping his cool sound), and it was amazing. Tommy loves him. We do too!!!! I want to touch him and feel that rock star energy that just sprays out of him.

Who else?
Oh, Patrice. She did a great original that didn't sound right for the band, but as Tommy said, he can take the happy tone and make it heavy, which actually sounds cool. It was a good song. I still would never want her as lead singer, but I was glad to hear her original.
And speaking of originals....
Ryan is amazing. He should title his next original "Drop yer panties intensity" or "Ooh baby, sing to me Scorpio"... oh, sorry, that's the title of MY next song.

Oh, I keep forgetting to add:
Thank goodness the producers or decision makers for RockStar have been dressing Brooke Burk as a gorgeous, sexy lady this season instead of in the nasty tramp outfits they had her in for the RockStar INXS show. She always looks great, and she is a loved part of the show now instead of a joke.

I don't know how they will ever top this show.
I can't wait for tomorrow night to see Tommy and the boys play again. I hope they are going to do the sound differently.

The show's started now.

During their reality section I got to thinking Magni seems like the default leader. I didn't even see Lukas at the table.

Then somehow I got to thinking about Venus. I wonder if Magni's a Libra. Who do you think represents Venus the most in the group?

Patrice's song was alright. I think she's got to be a water sign.

I wasn't thrilled with Magni's singing at the start of his song. It seemed like too much work for him. He never does bad by the band, though, so that's good.

Damn Ryan's good!

I thought Storm did well. I had a feeling Gilby was not going to be nice, but he was ok.

Wow! Look at those eyelashes on Dilana! Doesn't look like she's really able to get into it. On the other hand, though, she's really singing it, and not using the smoker voice. I like that.

Oooh...I like Toby's song. Sweet! I liked the way he rearranged it.

Oh! Yikes! I don't think Lukas really accentuated the notes enough. The band seemed ok with it, though. I love singing along to that song.
