How do I get it to play? I have the red and white audio wires hooked into the back of my stereo, both plugged in..now what? Its a sherwood turntable. I have a button for 33 and 45 speed and a reject button and that is it. what do I do with the needle? why does there seem to be no button to spin the record? If I spin the record myself and put the needle on it i hear sound..I am so clueless.

Did you try moving the needle arm back to the right until you hear a slight click? That's how you get my record player to work. To stop the turntable from spinning, you move the needle arm to the left until you hear the same click. ------------------ "You are not here to try to get the world to be just as you want it to be.
