The use of space, too -
with the lower branches,
you have the left branch lower,
and with the upper branches,
the right one is lower.
Very Yin/Yang, Tai Chi, balanced, etc.
Total composition.
Very Cool.
You must have a Saturn/Venus contact or something.
I can draw well, too, -
mostly eyes and faces, -
but I never find the patience or concentration
to complete a polished composition.
I often think, "I could do that,"
but, in reality,
I never could muster up the self-control,
and combine it with sustained inspiration.
A true gift you have.
And a truly inspired image.

Oh, come on... it's not THAT good...lol. I am a lot like you when it comes to artwork. Short attention span. That is why I could never master painting. I have all these grand visions in my minds... the best case scenario - I draw some sketches.

I am a Sagittarius.I didn't know Venus-Saturn aspects have something to do with artistic abilities. I have a square

That's interesting.
Yeah, that square is what does it.
Saturn brings things into manifestation.
It gives patience and order to the impulses
indicated by the other planets.
It is your saving grace, Sagittarius.
And you probably thought it was a "bad" thing.

I have visions too; boy, can I relate.
Lots of Sag/Jupiter/9th house action in my chart.

I have this one idea for a painting....

A lame man is using a large crucifix for a crutch...
Under the "crutch" is Jesus,
struggling like Atlas to uphold both it and the man.

I have another one......

A cross with a painted Christ on it...
The head is cut-out,
like those things at the beach, -
those paintings of strong men and bikinied ladies,
where you put your own face up to the hole -
and there are steps leading up behind the cross.
Jimminy Cricket is standing nearby,
in that pose of his;
with his arm stretched out,
ushering you "right this way".

To tell you the truth at some point I had an ambition to draw an image for everyone on "how I see you, guys" thread. As you can see it didn't go very far...lol...but I didn't give up on this idea either .
