I just got my daughter's birth certificate... they have her time listed as 1:29 am instead of 1:54 am. I tried to get them to fix it, but it's a done deal. I'm sharing this with you guys because this is probably the only group of people I'll ever know who can understand my frustration with this. That's all! IP: Logged |

That really does suck! After 20-some years I had to look at the birth certificate to get the exact birth time on my kids.------------------ When the student is ready the teacher will appear. Kim IP: Logged |

That's crap, future... what was their reason for the discrepancy?I am also impressed if in the midst of labor, you can remember the time- wow! They should fix this. If they put the wrong surname or the wrong sex on it, wouldn't they be recquired to fix it? MK IP: Logged |

Motherkonfessor... I've preached to my fiance that regardless of what else happens in the delivery room we MUST get the correct birthtime. We had two cell phones and a wall clock. All said 1:54. (I've read stories from too many frustrated knowflakes who didn't have birthtimes to let this slip my mind.) I was very clear headed the moment she was born and immediately, my fiance and I both called the time.However... the hospital staff has to go by their monitors, which are portable, and even though the discrepancy in time was pointed out in the delivery room and acknowledged, they insisted it was hospital policy to take the time as the monitor read. This information was vitally important to me. You guys understand, but how do you explain that to the hospital administration?! I do have her correct time recorded in her baby book. IP: Logged |

The family is great. And how about your bunch? I was thinking about you last night. I haven't been on here much lately, but I noticed that I don't think I've seen you either.Hope all is well! IP: Logged |
