I know that Ginny and her family appreciate the concern you all have for her and believe me, I know how hard it is awaiting word on her condition but this is going to be a very slow process. We have to take things a day at a time and hope and pray that the treatments help.

Ultimately what matters the most is what Ginny wants. Right now Ginny does not like the new place where she has been sent. She says that the staff treat the patients badly. Ginny said that she hates the treatments so much that she would rather just die and get it over with. That is pretty common with cancer patients I think. Ginny is going to have good days and bad days. My brother did stop having the treatments after a period of time because of the effects of them. So it is what Ginny wants that will determine the course here.

Ginny's family is going through a lot of stress at this time so we have all been patiently waiting for them to find time to let us know how things are going for Ginny. We have not wanted to press them for information and add more stress on them as right now they are juggling jobs and their time spent with Ginny. It's very hard and stressful seeing someone you love suffer so much. So all we can do is wait for word.

I hope you all understand and any news I get, good or bad, I will pass along to you.

My Dad passed away from cancer, so trust me, I do understand the process you are speaking about. I come from a medical family, my Mom is a nurse and my brother a firefighter/engineer (he started out as an EMT).

It's too bad the staff is that way ~ you know, when my Dad was in and out of the hospital, we constantly had to supervise the staff, because one time a nurse wheeled up an IV machine that was for another patient, right up to my Dad, preparing to give it to him! My mother inquired, "why is he getting THAT?" To find out it was for another patient! Thank God my mother was there!!! It's just like everywhere in the world, there are good workers and careless workers in every profession.

Let's all send her Valentine's Day cards! You know how she likes things all bright and colorful, well, I bet that would really cheer her up and it would sure tickle her!

Tom said that the doctor told the family today that Ginny is not going to make it. He said that Ginny doesn't know yet and the family is going to tell her tomorrow.

Tom said that Ginny has options to maybe make it six weeks after some intense radiation treatment and chemo then go back to her home and have hospice care until she expires. It will be Ginny's choice.

He said that he and his brother Stephen went to see their mom over the weeked and that Ginny was worse. She can't eat and she is losing her eyesight worse by the day. She can't walk and she has no motor functions on the left side of her body. All this is due to the tumor. Tom stated that just yesterday his mom said " I am not going to give up. I want out of this hell hole and to go home."

Tom said he can't wait to get her out of there and take her home with her family if only for six weeks.

Here is the address of the facility where Ginny is at now. I know that at this time more than ever it will do Ginny a lot of good to know that so many people care about her and are still thinking of her and praying for her.
