I've got a Valentine ready to send. Everyone else please send something pretty and colorful too.  And send it quick in case she goes home in the next couple days.  Here is the information again: "Here is the address of the facility where Ginny is at now. I called her this morning at 8:30 her time. the nurse was really nice and took the phone to her. She was tired, but she knew it was me, there was much static on the phone line, but she was awake. I miss her much.IP: Logged |

After Ginny's family told her what the doctors said and gave her the options Ginny chose to forego any more treatments and go home to be with her family and die amongst her own stuff. Tommy said that Ginny took the news totally unsurprised. She knew. The family is now organizing hospice so that they can get Ginny out of that awful place she is in and back home as quickly as possible. Ginny's two sisters will be staying with her when she gets home as Ginny will need around the clock assistance. Ginny took it better than we did. She is planning what she wants for her "final party" and said she wants the song " Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" by Monty Python from their movie, " The Meaning of Life." What a perfect song for her.I'd also suggest 'The UNiverse Song' from the same movie.
 Oh this whole thing has me alternately blessed and saddened. So much love for Rainbow Ginny and her family.

I am not surprised at all that Rainbow *knew*.What I would like is either her home address of that of her relatives so I can send a card. I don't want to send it to the facility due to the fact that 1. She will be going home any day now, and 2. The workers there are not competent so I don't trust that the card would get delivered to her. If you don't want to post an address publicly, you can e-mail me at Nephthys@linda-goodman.com Thanks. Nephthys,
it's kind that you hope to send Ginny a symbol of your caring. I wouldn't feel right giving out Ginny's home address. I believe that is her family's decision and not something I would feel right about presuming. My mom, Mirandee feels the same way. It's a very delicate time for her family. It was just yesterday that they all gathered with Ginny to deal with what must have been very difficult for them. They are going through much pain...so much emotion and grief, and I want to grant them the decency of compassion and respect for the time they need to take this all in, so I also wouldn't feel right pressing them for information right now.Through this all, we awaited patiently for updates, until her family was able and up to giving them. It was difficult at times, waiting and wondering. So often I wished to talk to her, but didn't call, for not wanting to intrude. Consideration of Ginny's family's heartbreak was kept in mind...as now.
Ginny is very weak right now...she cannot hold a glass of water. She cannot hold a phone in her hand. She is losing her vision. 
I hope we can keep these things in mind. We can only take this day by day and be patient. Juniperb's thread dedicated to send Ginny Love, thoughts, pictures, whatever hearts are feeling is a good way, for now anyway, for everyone to share in finding a way to reach her and be assured it would reach her.

Sheaa, I don't know. They were preparing to get her moved home, but I don't know exactly when that will be.
I'm sorry to not be more help. I wish I could be. I'm not holding back on purpose. It's just because I care deeply for all and I don't know what else to do at this time. If there comes a way, I would share what I could somehow, because Ginny's happiness is most important. I only keep praying she gets home, surrounded by Love, Comfort and Beauty. So beautiful, she deserves so much better than the place medicare had her. Broke my heart to think of her there. Nephthys, Did you get Ginny's address yet? If not I will send it to you personally but I have to get approval first. I know that you understand that. I know that you probably have known Ginny longer than I have from the original Linda Goodman site and from CE and I know that you have friends at CE. So I have no qualms in giving you Ginny's home address if it is okay with them. But no way will I post it on the worldwide web and that is why juniperb put the thread in to insure that everyone's thoughts and love gets to Ginny. This way it can be printed out and sent in one package and Ginny's family can read your words to her. I know the love you all send will do Ginny a world of good and I know how much you all want to reach out to her and her family with your love at this time. Actually, Nephthys, as you said you could probably get the address yourself. Am I remembering right that you know the Sistars? You could probably get the address from one of them. Actually that is who I would ask about it anyway. I hope that none of the rest of you feel slighted or left out in any way because I am willing to give Nephthys the address. It is just that I know that Nephthys has known Ginny for a long time. It's a very sticky situation and we are trying hard to include everyone while at the same time thinking of Ginny and her family. We also want to make sure that you reach Ginny because it does not take long to organize with Hospice and get the person home. I know Hospice from my brother's cancer and they are wonderful people who's actions are always directed at what is best for all the people involved, the patient and the family. They do work fast to get the person home with their family. I noticed that SueG and Pix posted on juniperb's thread with beautiful, loving sentiments for Ginny and her family. I received a message from Tommy that Ginny will be returning home Monday.I was so touched by his dedication to his Mom.
For this weekend he will be staying there at the care center by her side, making sure she is well taken care of
and he will be taking an extended absent leave from work to be by her side when she returns home. Such a dear devoted and loving Son, bless him. He said that Ginny is looking forward to returning home where she can prepare more peacefully on her passing journey.
