What's the purpose of a flu shot? Always get one and I still get sick.

I guess for some people it helps prevent flu.

I've never gotten a flu shot because I haven't had a flu in 15+ years.

I rarely get flu or colds either.

My secret is plenty of vit c and the moment I feel the hint of a cold coming on lots of neat lavender oil on the chest and throat ..... oh yeah and zinc too!!!

Always seems to work!!

The myriad of flu strains make it difficult to vaccinate for them all, I think though it's maybe not fact, that here in NZ, every year we get vaccinated for whichever 'flu strain is coming from the northern hemisphere.

I get vaccinated every year, it's true I sometimes catch a 'flu, however, family and friends who haven't vaccinated, seem worse off.

I don't really know. Maybe I'm just lucky. I get colds occasionally but it seems less than other people. I guess I had a really bad cold back in 2001 for a couple days and it was miserable but not a huge deal.

It seems like when the flu shot is given at my office there are a LOT of people out a day or two after because they get sick.

I shouldn't complain LOL I haven't had a cold since last winter.

Luckily I am taking tylenol cold.

I rarely get colds and flu too..
i take daily garlic tablets, twice a day if i feel something coming on..
works for me..
