please? I want to buy my first one, and am next to clueless about them. Nothing fancy, just for personal use. I'm leaning towards a Kodax one. Which do you use and why?IP: Logged |

hi i bought a nikon camera last year,i was very confused at first but then after i searched the net and did a little market research i cut down my choice to nikon, canon, fuji, pentax..... i further cut down to choose between nikon and canon. i loved canon IXUS 55 and IXUS 750 because of the options and picture quality. canon and nikon give you the best lense considering the other lower price range cameras. if yr buying a digital camers you should consider the picture quality... that matters the most crisp sharp bright colors , night mode, flash options, red eye reduction, atleast 4 mega pixels or more if you want to print bigger size photographs. here is a link to a site that is full of information. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs.asp IP: Logged |

Thanks to you both, especially for the link. I love taking pictures, but alway end up with a closet-full of undeveloped film rolls. LOL, now I'm not sure if I want to go through and eventually develop them all. I like digital cameras because you don't have to go through all that mes, and can view the picture before saving it.IP: Logged |

Planet_soul,check out this link... http://www.imaging-resource.com/ what pics do u think u wud mostly be taking? is it for taking family photos and stuff or for nature photography? a lot wud depend on its end use. I'd recommend canon/nikon. i dont care too much for megapixels....pics of size 1 meg are more than enough for a crystal clear normal size photograph if u want it developed. however, since i rarely get them printed, i take them at even lower resolution. however zoom and macro features r really imp if u want to take closeup shots of something tiny....having video with sound capability cud be one criteria. it depends on you. and of course a lot wud depend on your budget.
