Aren't we all members of one body, one soul? So, to be open only to the people who are most similar, or geographically close, to ouselves, would be "to get into a habit of moving only [our] little finger", and to block out the influences which may be most needful for us, most capable of providing a wider perspective of our world, and our soul's potentials.

"When we tap specific sephiroth, stimulating them into greater activity, the result is illumination. When we bridge them together for forced growth through pathworking, we institute the initiation process. We open ourselves to the Mysteries - Lesser, Greater and Supreme.
When we begin the process of forced initiation, we must use the illumination we receive from the levels of our consciousness to climb in the Tree of Life ever higher. Through applying our energy to our physical, emotional and mental essence, we are attempting to awaken a revelation of the higher spiritual and religious truths - of ourselves and the universe.
The mysteries and their lessons are enacted through the normal circumstances of our lives, not through some artficially contrived experience. Through the work with the Qabala we set energy in action so that it plays upon us through our physical lives and circumstances, and through the people and situations we meet daily. Again it is important to take time to evaluate, daily, weekly or on some regular basis, what has occurred in our lives. We must recognize that nothing is insignificant and that all circumstances have import. Everything gives clues as to the spiritual truths and mysteries we are involved in and have set in motion through our studies and through contact with the sephiroth of our essence. There is an underlying lesson in all these things.
The Lesser Mysteries are those of the bottom four sephiroth in the Tree of Life. They are for the unfoldment and development of the personality. They involve the search of and awakening to the need to have more than a physical existence. It is the looking-beyond of the seeker. The tests in these paths as they are awakened involve the development of good character, which forms the foundation for higher development. This involves learning to open the subconscious and it's levels.
Everything in the Lesser Mysteries involves other people and our relationships to them. Our greatest learning comes through the groups that we encounter, formally and otherwise. It involves maintainting a sound mind and body and controlling the instinct and passions, and the strengthening of the mind. All of this involves the lower fourth sephiroth - Hod, Netzach, Yesod and Malkuth - and their corresponding paths.
The Greater Mysteries involve the middle three sephiroth - Tiphareth, Geburah and Chesed. These involve the awakening and development of the individualtiy - our own uniquely creative energies that last for more than a single lifetime. These are the qualities that we strengthen and manifest more with each lifetime. Within these Myseterise is the leson of true faith, wihch opens the veils to true spiritual insight. the lessons change our focus from the outer world to the inner world. Here, the inner principles are focused and dedicated to higher service.
These Mysteries always involve probationary periods in which the individual's dedication to the higher is tested. It is here also that one meets what is referred to by many occultists as the 'inner plane adept', who guides the individual in greater teachings and in the development of dedication.Dedication, however, does not imply neglect of the physical for the spiritual, because it is only by our work in the physical that we learn to apply our teachings. Dedication also involves recognizing the some very important duties in the physical will have precedence over the work in the Mysteries if htere is a conflict. It is the fulfillment of our obligations to ourselves and to others that demonstrates our dedication to the higher; and these obligations may actually be part of your probationary testing!
The individual must learn to act upon his/her own resources, without reliance upon others. The personality is dacrificed for the spiritual. This involves facing karma and duty in this lifetime, and learning to take responsibility for our thoughts, feelings and actions to more consciously work out the individual destiny. It is recognizing that one can be alone without being lonely, and that one has to deal with the concept from many levels as old conceptions are dissolved and stripped bare." ~a little more coming up IP: Logged |

"The Supreme Mysteries are those that deal more specifically with teacing us that path of our true spiritual essence, its effects upon our physical life, and how the spiritual life and energy is structured. These involve the energies assiciated with Binah, Chokmah and Kether. All the Mysteries - Supreme, Greater or Lesser - are of equal importance. They simply serve different functions; they are different expressions of energy to help us in our growth.
The Supreme Mysteries many times involve great leaps of faith. It is here that we begin to understand how everything works together, and we begin to know how to set it all in motion for the benefit of all. We begin to recognize that there are universal rhythms, and we begin to align ourselves with them more fully.
We work on all of these levels simultaneously, and most of the time we are not even cognizant that the experiences within our physical life are reflecting teachings from some level within these Mysteries. When we work with the Qababla and pathworking we are attempting to become more cognizant of this process and to more conscously control and direct it. I just re-read this and I think I see what the problem is... The "Disturbed" song is not for you, first of all, I am talking to Steve about thoughts, issues, men, memories, views.
Second, I was trying to say that I felt YOU WERE ready for it, so I WOULD TELL YOU sometime (when no one was paying attention to us or in private), because I assumed you would remember, but I wouldn't have to expose young people who might not be ready for it to it... in an irresponsible way. I was NOT saying that YOU were not ready for it.
You read too cryptically into my words! You really get me upset. It is draining to have to figure out what you may have taken the wrong way all of the time. Have a little trust. I have honestly tried to be your friend.
Sheesh, I thought you were going nuts and trying to attack me for sheer fun and controversy. Surely if you understand what I just typed ^above^ then you have also learned that it is not to be revealed indiscriminately. That is all I was trying to say and it surprised the heck out me when you were fighting me on it and got me very upset.
Ok, I hope this clears things up and if you would give me some trust in the future, we can get past this.

A copyright is to prevent people from claiming your work as their own and distributing it for profit. I will tell my friends the author of the above quotes and they will probably run right out and support him. I doubt he would be against a commercial. If Randall chooses to ask me to remove my quotes, I will, and next time instead of following the energy that moved me to post the above, I will continue to search for the quote I was originally planning on posting.
