* Also funny you mentioned it just now. My last post was number 420.

She has a Capricorn Moon and Venus in Scorpio. I forgot the rest.

She's very sweet, loyal, and very defensive...especially when it comes to family.

But if you **** her off yikes! Run for your life!!!

Glad someone said it...come to think of it its usually the ones who think they are holier than thou that cause all the wars. Its pretty much the ones who dont listen to anyone else and just enjoy hearing themselves speak (or type in this case) that are the cause of all the trouble.s

They should suffer also.

Excellent logic...

my best friends mom is a Taurus Capricorn (which is what Hitler was) and shes very nice. I actually know a few Capricorn tauruses and they are also very sweet.

I enormously empathize with your feelings, Sweet Stars. The amount of evil (and naiveté) in the world is incredible. Makes me pretty angry, too.

Not everyone is gifted with intelligence/high intellectual level.
If we dont help out with readings, our knowledge will stagnate. I would never have learnt about asteroids if were not for looking at hundreds of charts, with or without request, and mapping the traits to aspects. Also, people as skilled as GeminiNymph or Blue Roamer can do a very good chart reading in 15-20 minutes, and the value created by that reading is richly rewarded by the Universe whether the native appreciates it or not. Just my 2 cents of value
However, I would appreciate it if Randall could create two astrological forums. One for synastry/readings/basic doubts and another for serious astrological discussions/essays like GC, Asteroids, Centaurs, Fixed Stars, Void of Course Moon, Moon Wobbles, Karmic Astrology, Eclipses, Lunation, Sabian Symbols and Secondary Charts. Moderators can decide which topics to shift where.

I just want to hear more about Moon Wobbles.

That sounds pretty funky.

"I'd love to, but my transits say my moon is wobbly that day."

hehehee... I love that!

i would respond to a particular person but i think they voided their argument by their style of presentation or lack thereof ps- a taurus sun cant have a scorpio venus....wth? youve been on this board for how long? oooo..kay...try to be more astute in your "arguments"..and try to pay attention in the astrology board...

anyways, i dont really care if people ask questions, its just when people take and take and dont contribute or try to contribute to the board...its so selfish, and ive ignored it for so long...its just been a peeve of mine...

i wasnt singling anyone out, just seems like everytime i go thru the threads, i filter thru 99percent of them....nowadays anyways

I think what really killed the astro forum for me was the, "astrologer indicators of ....." posts.

For example:

What placements aspects indicate a love of Swiss cheese on St.Swithen's day in Swaziland?

Also the, "what aspects indicate beauty?" where everyone talks about their appearance kill me as well.

I guess I'm just kiveching, but I agree there should be a more advanced astro forum. I think probably the astro lessons forum could be used for this? Although I never go there.

Err.....does the astro lessons forum even exist anymore?

Are we going to get into a philosophical discussion about how things literally diappear when it doesn't fit in the scope of your life?

You're a Psychiatrist, I don't think I can get into the same mind-caliber as you.

I can say ; If a tree falls in the forest and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound?
The answer would maybe be.. who cares..

Oh and I hear you. "I'm so hot, please tell me again"

pixie..LMAO.... "I'm so hot please tell me again".

Yes, those threads get old. I get tired of people trying to elicit compliments through astrology or trying to justify their inflated ego by stating astrology has bestowed upon them these gifts.

Then again, I have seen ALOT of newbies (that are now old timers) spam (or what we called spam) the website with post after post. Things such as "Does my Venus in Virgo mean I will LOVE hamburgers?" or even question after question about astroids in their charts that no one has ever paid attention to in the past (I mean come on REALLY.... there are how many billions of astroids? How many interpretations does one need to reaffirm they are a moron?... Just kidding, but sometimes it gets old).

Sometimes we just have to go through the cycle and ignore the volumes of posts and hope they will someday contribute.

I believe the main problem is when we see 30 posts by one person and if we don't give advice we are called out for it or if we do give advice we are told "Oh well, I don't believe you, I think you are just jealous because I am superior due to my roid being in Uranus". LMAO.....

Such is life.....

Pix~
I would never compare your caliber of mind to mine. I bow to your wisdom.

I like your logic though. My acne pimples and dandruff no longer fit into the scope of my life. They'll go away now! (Please??)

Pid~

Don't even get me started on asteROIDS. I really have to side with traditional astrolgers by focusing on the main 8 planets and the 1 "planetoid." How is something the size of a bus going to affect my life?

Then again, scientists have argued that your desk lamp exerts more gravitational pull on you than jupiter due to distance.

That being said, I don't really have much faith in astrology, but it is amusing.

Y'all are eat up.

I've started questioning astrology in the past year or so. I don't know, I guess I need some things to be concrete without all of the "well, yes it does mean that it could happen... but because it didn't, you must have used your free will".

I don't know... it just seems like no one really knows.

Plus, I've read descriptions for other people's charts/placements and thought that it fit me as well. I think there is an awful lot of it that could fit anyone on a given day or situation.

I've recognized certain things about sun signs... so I agree with that to a point.

I've looked at certain things in my transits, they never happened. I've read things regarding overall transits... I couldn't tell a difference.

I've been told that because almost all of my planets are placed on the left side of my chart, I'm self-centered. Nope... and I'm not in denial.

I've quit following my transits for almost a year now. I think that I'd rather my life run how it's going to without thinking "oh no, my moon is oppose saturn today, it's going to be a bad day". Well of course it is... because I've already talked myself into it.

Disclaimer: Not meant to offend... just my opinion If others find it useful, have at it. I'm still interested in it...

Something else I can't understand.... I have 5 planets in Scorpio.... why am I not consumed with the thought of being sexy, vindictive, back-stabbing, manipulative?

I also could care less about staring at people. It's rude....

I'm hearing you 1scorp, loud and clear. I have 4 plantets in Leo, and I'm one of the least showy people I know. I'm actually quite humble, for the most part. What I really tire of, is being dismissed by many know-flakes because of the fact that I'm a Leo - They figure I have no motives whatsovever, other than self-promotion or attention grabbing. The sun sign stereotyping is rather irksome, especially for Leo's & Scorpios, IMO. But, I don't blame Astrology for that. I blame the narrow minded folks who use it that way.

As for the "Please look at our synastry and tell me that we're soul mates" fodder that the astrology forum is inundated with daily...Yeah, it gets old for the Linda-Land veterens, but for the people who have just discoverd Linda-land, it's like discovering a gold-mine. In fact, I dare say that most of us found this place by doing a search of Linda Goodman's name, and most of us were probably looking for some good Astrology information to help us understand an emotionally charged relationship, probably a romantic one.

So, yeah. Most of us have been there.

Either you can generously give your astrological spin on the relationship in question (and be preparred for agreement if it's good, and disagreement if it's bad)...or, you can simply disregard those threads.

If you're looking for more meaty Astrological discussion, though...there are a few really great forums out there, that are for that purpose precisely, and they usually DO NOT PERMIT individual chart interpretation, or the asking thereof. nodeorama.com is one of them. The mod is a bit of a hard-nose, but the discussions are very acedemic and advanced, and there is none of the cup-cake astrology there at all.

1scorp~~ I hear you loud and clear, the only thing about astrology that seems concrete and to almost always follow suit is sun sign astrology. Maybe Linda knew this, and this is why she focused so heavily on sun sign astrology?

Does anyone know what Linda had to say about other types of astrology besides sun sign?

Sun sign astrology might have nothing to do with the planets, it could be a magnetic, cosmic wind, or seasonal light related effect. It could be governed by some force that we can't detect. It could just be complete hogwash altogehter.

Lioneye~~Leos do get pigeon holed that way quite often. Most leos I've met are philosphical, broad minded, focused, and funny. Some can be attention grabbing but that's usually the younger ones, and they're no worse than other fire signs or aquarians.

Hmmmm... BR.. did HELL freeze over? I totally agree with you on all of your points. I am also traditional when it comes to Astrology, centering on the planets / aspects and houses. When too many variables are introduced it almost becomes manic in interpretations.

LOL... It took me so long to write that post that I see other's have posted again.

1Scorp,

Yep, I agree with you about the transits and some of the aspect interpretations. If I hear that I am sexually repressed and frigid because I have Saturn in the 8th one more time, I am going to freak LOL.... I have never been frigid but I am selective.

Or the other one 'You have Mars in Pisces so you hate confrontation and can't focus on any career and therefore you have no drive" Umm.. okay... guess we all know that isn' true.

I get tired of the Sun Sign bashing "All Leo's gaze in the mirrors for hours and wait for their slaves to adorn them with flowers and myrhh" or "All Saggies are big mouthed, sleep arounds that can't commit to save their lives.. oh and they all gamble".

I DO think Linda had it right about concentrating on Sun Signs. I have always felt that the Sun is the focal point and all the other planets affect that focal point by adding to the vibration. Then, on a lesser level, the interplanetary vibration colors the personality as well.

Progressions are also goofy too me. How in the heck can I have been born at a specific time and be a Sun Sag, Moon Aries with a Virgo rising, but 37 years later I am now a Sun in Aqua, Moon in Leo with a Libra rising? How do we morph?

So we have progressions, interceptions, transits, natal, synastry, composite...on and on.. then we start introducing asteroids and their influence..

Blech!!!! LMAO..

PS.. I am not here to offend anyone, this is just my onion....

Exactly Pid, how can a system be so complicated if even its most simple tenants don't hold up to scientific testing?

The only logical conclusion is that it's horse puckey.

Pid, I am not surprised at all to agree with you, I think you're extremely intelligent. I find it flattering that I agree with you. I believe that we have a lot in common. You, however, are a nationalist, and I am not, which is sometimes a gap too large to bridge.

Well, thank you BR.. I never knew you felt that way. Yes, we are different but I think that there is always something to be learned and I do learn from you. You also crack me up most of the time and we seem to be able to play off each other with wacky terms far longer than most people- even in the middle of a debate.

I also admire how you are one of the few people that can dish it out, take it and still remain "happy" to bounce around to a new topic. I rarely take anything you say personally because I know you rarely take others personally.

Who needs a bridge? Maybe I can fly LOL....

Astrology is very real.

Sometimes I'll look at someone and KNOW their sign. When I can walk up to a girl in school and say, "You're a Taurus, aren't you?", and I get a reply of "Wow, yes, I am, how did you know that?!?", its so reaffirming that THIS ART IS NOT A JOKE.

It makes me so happy because it gives me a little dash of proof that there really is so much more to our existence. Its a small hint of god's plan, and it gives me much peace of mind.

(obviously, Taurus girls are the easiest for me to recognize, being my opposite. Theres a certain "smell" to the magnetic auras between us.)

Regardless, it just happened the other day with an Aries. She looked and moved just like actress Amanda Bynes (an Aries) and so I guessed she was an Aries. Of course she was.

Same thing happened with Dulce Maria from Rebelde. She looks SOOO Sagittarian, so I looked up her birthday, and she is indeed a Sagittarius.

...or actress Marguerite Moreau. Clearly a Taurus.

In fact, people are always living up to their sun signs. With close observation to how people walk, talk, dress, gestures, etc, I see it manifest constantly.

Astrology just takes a ton of practice, no one ever masters it, only becomes a better student. The harder I work at it, the clearer it becomes.

"I think you are just jealous because I am superior due to my roid being in Uranus".

I almost feel mean But good grief..... at least I'm honest.

Edit: Sweb: I can sometimes recognize people's sun signs also.

Just reinforces the theory that saggies are sweet unless you disagree with their beliefs!
Their beliefs are everything to them, and they're never wrong. Maybe there is something to this astrology stuff?
