Hee hee.. yes, there is something to Astrology- and for the record SAGGIES are ALWAYS right!!! LOL.....

SW, I love being able to identify a person by their Sun Sign and I agree that people really do live up to the Sun sign description- to a point. Again, there is always free will...

~Pidaua

The former Saggie progressed Aqua with a significant case of Pluto conjuncting the roid that is causing Uranus a headache..LMAO...

I said Uranus.. Anyone else crack up when they say that?

True, Pid. But just to clear up my point- I'm not talking about Free Will. I'm referring to ingrained tendencies.

Physiognomy, or maybe how people eat, or the gestures they make when trying to explain something. Eyes, hands, hair and hair lines, etc... and just physiognomy as a whole, in general, are critical to guessing signs and have nothing to do with Free Will.

Here is an example of where supposed "Free Will" meets Sun sign Destiny--> Scorpio women are among the most prone to get nose jobs, because Scorpio rules the nose, and Scorp's subruler, Mars, rules surgery... A cousin of a friend of mine hated her nose and had it reshaped, and I asked if she was a Scorpio. And she was. True, it was a blind guess, but I employed commonly known astrological trends and averages to make a supposition. I feel even Free Will often rides on the tracks of astrology.

I'd have to agree that sun-sign astrology has proven itself to me time and time again. It is, afterall, 50% of your chart (so they say, but of course there are numerous individual exceptions to that). Now, all the other stuff, although mind boggling, is propably significant in varying degrees, from one person's chart to the next. For example, Eros may not be a significant part of our chart, unless it's, say....conjunct the ascendant...But all the factors and various conditions and interpretations of such...it can seem a bit hair splitting after awhile. When trying to interpret every little thing in a chart, one finds that many aspects contradict each other, and then it ALL just starts to seem random. I believe there IS order in the chaos, but I also feel the whole is more important than the parts, and if 50% of the whole is the sun-sign, then I'm happy to focus more on that.

Unless, a chart screams "exception" at me, that is.

**warning: rant starting - please skip it if you're not interested***

What I was trying to say in my ealier post was, sun-sign astrology is fine, except when people only seem to be famliar with the negative expression of any given one. Read: Leos. Every time a Leo (or maybe it's just me?) talks on this forum it seems like someone has to come along and says something to the effect of "Ya whatever, big shot wanna-bee. Get over yourself". And I'm often left going "Huh? What did that have to do with the conversation? What did I say?" .... Oh, so if I express an opinion, I'm just being full of myself...but it's ok for everyone else to express opinions left right & center... okayyy. That's really fair.

***Ok rant over. We will now return to our regularly scheduled program***

Sag girls... first the eyes. Sag eyes are very distinct and indeed are very "horsey". I volunteered for a year at an equestrian club, and its absolutely shocking how there is a clear connection between the eyes of REAL horses and Sagittarians... its hard to explain, but once you get the idea of what I mean, its very recognizable. If you've ever seen the eyes of a frightened horse, there is something eerily similar to when Sag girls get upset. I know... it sounds ridiculous... but please believe me.

Their manner of walking is also rather horsey. Sometimes Sag girls walk with their bodies a little leaned forward (in that Archer "jovial pursuit" sort of way). Their hands are often delicate or interesting looking (think opposites- Gemini), and they're usually very busy hands. Like Geminis often slouch, Sag girls will sometimes have slightly forward-curved shoulders. Again, rather apparent when they're walking.

Also, the hair. Most of the Sag's I see have naturally straight hair, which they often grow quite long. They often have naturally vivid reddish shades to their hair but are prone to dye it in more fiery shades of red. Also, their hair line often (but not always) has a very tiny V at the top, sort of like an extremely under-developed "Widow's Peak". Sometimes it annoys Sag girls, and when hair is kept short, this little "v" often causes their hair to repeatedly fall in front of their face, getting in their eyes, etc... but while it is a definite indication of a possible Sag, it isn't always common.

Sometimes their a$$ region will seem a little out of proportion to the rest of their bodies. One of my friends said my Sag has a "ghetto booty" because of its interestingly disproportionate size and shape. I've noticed this among many Sag girls.

Finally, it comes down to INSTINCT. Its all of the tendencies, combined with my ever-developing intuition to the "vibes" that signs emit.

It must be my Scorpio Sun perception mixed with my Libra Moon fascination with people. Scorp Sun plus Libra Moon creates a person who obsesses over people and relationships, as must be obvious in most of my posts. I always study people in deep concentration, and I've been accused of staring for an offensively long time at people, but its only because I'm studying them. I'm really not a creepy guy; just intrigued.

Below: here is a photo of a quintessential Sagittarius. I think she is possibly the best example I've found of the typical Sagittarian female appearance... the eyes... the hair... I wish I could find a close-up photo of her eyes, to better explain the forthright horsey-Sag look that I'm referring to. She reminds me so much of my own Sag girl... again, the eyes, the hair... They both have air moons but thats it...

Sagittarian, Dulce Maria---->

Mere photos don't do my points justice, but this is just a small example anyway. I'd say watch Rebelde, but the show has been cancelled.

LOL...yes, I do believe you hit the nail on the head. My own walk has been described to be as graceful as a thoroughbred to bobbing like a pony when I am really happy.

I don't know how horsey I look because ethnicity does flavor things a bit.

Here are two pics that come off as somewhat different. I think that is another thing about Saggies, we tend to look different at various angles.

My brother is also in my album, he too is a Sagittarian (Scorp moon). Bear is a Leo, which you will be able to tell as soon as you see his pic LOL...

Cool insights SW, I am very impressed

Woahhhhh!!!! This description of the horse with sag is amazing! My sister is a sag and she fits the description except her hair is kinky curly and she irons it straight and she is only one out of 6 kids that has a reddish cast in her hair.

Yeah, ethnicities can be really difficult for me. I'm terrible with African-Americans and so-so with Asians and Latinas, and best with Caucasians. So, I must chalk all of that up to personal experience (or lack of, where the case may be).

Still, you definitely have some undeniably clear Sagittarian traits. Your hair seems to have an artificial curl. Is it normally perfectly straight like most Sag women?

Below: Here is my brother's ex-Sag girlfriend (one shot with artificial curls), but she has some heavy Libra influences. She has naturally reddish hair, and often dyes it to a very fiery shade of red.

SW,

No, my hair is not straight. It is actually wavy to super wavy depending on how it wants to be. I do curl it though and sometimes I blow it straight. I have low-lights (which adds highlights) but I have always had that sprinkling of red.

I have the small V, like a widows peak and many cow-licks. I can't wear short bangs because of the cowlick on either side of my forehead which results in looking like I have horns. LOL...

My hair always gets in my way and I am forever moving it from my eyes LOL....

The other things I noticed about Sag women is that even if we are short (which I am not) our legs seem to be very long- especially the femur portion (I read this as well). Being 5 foot 9, my legs make up a sig portion of my body and seem to get twisted from time to time LOL.... yes, I am a bit clutzy.

Yeah, Pid, and I notice that most Sagittarian girls don't have the two vertical lines of skin under their nose, just above the upper lip. Its almost always very flat. My Sag, Dulce Maria, my bro's ex-Sag, and you all have a very flat space above their upper lip.

Yeah, Sag's definitely have long legs. The Sag Sun / Sag Moon girl that I dated had serious legs... she was 5'11"

LOL.. you are right, I have noticed that Saggie females don't have that prominent skin ridge under their noses... interesting..

I don't have any Leo placements and my 5th house is empty.

Here's a link to my chart (which I don't always share but what the heck LOL).

Yeah, I was just taking a stab at possibly where your "super wavy" hair tendency comes from, because its quite un-Saggie.

As far as legitimately taking a guess at people's signs, I often need to see the person in action. Their gestures, their voice, reactions... guessing simply on a couple photographs almost always gets me poor results.

very perceptive ScorpWeb.

I have very long straight hair and dark brown eyes, large, and I think I know what you mean about horse's eyes. At times, like a sad deep river. I'm not sure what mine look like when I'm scared, but I can imagine what you describe.

Something you didn't mention...
no matter how full a Sag woman or man's lips are, the lower lip is almost always fuller than the top. My lips are full, both -- cupid shaped upper, but the lower lip is a bit fuller than the top.
Dead Saggy give-away.

Oh, yeah and the bubble-butt, of course, lol. Not exactly a ghetto booty, but certainly shapely. No matter how Anglo-Saxon a Sagittarian woman is, she most always has a shapely a** it seems.

oh, yeah, more about the hair...
mine does have a very subtle wave to it and full (Leo Moon) and interesting what you said about reddish highlights. You can probably only notice my highlights outside in the sun. They're very subtle, strawberry blonde.

Ok, carry on.

That's pretty darn impressive SW! However, I will say that I think for some reason Sag & Scorp females are the easiest to spot based on the physical appearances and mannerisms. Saggies especially. Something about Jupiter just seems to make each and every one of them stand out!

Ok, so now I have to challenge you. No one has ever guessed my sun sign from initially meeting me. How would you guess a Capricorn female would act/look/behave?

I find it utterly fascinating that based on 'Zala's post about the current Full Moon in Leo, and the tendencies for all of us to feel vain....

that there are at least 3 major, active threads in LL discussing appearances.

this isn't me saying its a bad thing- i am finding the threads and the pictures alot of fun....

I'm not so sure about the "horsey" eyes.

Also, I still do believe in astrology. Of course all of my planets (except one) are on the right side of my chart, and I've always had an intense desire to study myself. Astrology is one such vehicle. Actually, astrology has probably been one of the best ways for me to understand myself, and my life has definitely been enriched by it. It's helped me come to terms with a lot of things.

AG - I agree with you on that. I think you can lose faith in astrology when you depend on it in your every day life. I never follow the transits. None of that ever seems to pan out. Sun sign astrology, as well as studying the major aspects in a natal chart are what keep me interested. It's been proven to me time and again and always amazes me. It's a great way to know yourself, strengths and weaknesses, as well as giving you an idea of what to expect from someone else. The psychological side of astrology is what fascinates me, and I believe in it whole-heartedly.

Sag lips...

Yep, great call. I do have a big mouth (yes.... I am waiting for comments from the peanut gallary....BR?) LOL... and full lips, but my bottom lip is fuller than my top. Bear's upper lip is fuller than his bottom (it's mighty sexy).

I have to agree about the rear end evaluation as well LOL....

Lialei- YES!! I completely agree with you about the difference between the upper and lower lips of Sagittarian girls.

AG- I guess some people just don't see it. Personally, I consider Sagittarius eyes (particularly the females) to be among their most distinctive traits, and among the most recognizable eyes of the zodiac.

A November Sagittarius I know with Scorp Asc, Scorp Moon, and Mars in the 8th (Scorp subruler and chart subruler), has really serpent-scorpio eyes. But her placements create quite an anomoly in my opinion.

Thinking about Dulce Maria, my Sagittariette pseudo-girlfriend, two Sag ex-girlfriends, and my brother's ex-Sag, they all have clearly equine-inspired Sagittarius eyes.

SW I know what you mean about the horse eyes in Sags. I know many.

However, she has a lot of Libra influences.

People with Venusian influences are usually very good looking.

Sag girls aren't usually attractive but I can see how the Libra influences changed that.

And I have noticed they have big mouths. It kind of makes them look uglier LOL
