If you don't know, Sherrie Lea Laird has claimed that she is the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe. Not only this, but she has a book and psychiatrist saying the same thing. I have my own personal thoughts and opinions on this, but I want to see what everyone else thinks. Here is more information about her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IAP9IuYKqs http://www.donaly.com/don_alys_column33.html http://www.marilynmonroereturns.com/page7.html http://www.marilyn-monroe.ca/The-Healing-of-a-Soul/index.php http://www.johnadams.net/cases/samples/Monroe-Laird/index.html IP: Logged |

PS: I find it very interesting that both M & S have the very same North Node placement...which is also S's sun placement - Theoretically, this would give a boost to the efforts of achieving the North Node's goal - efforts that were cut short, and therefore failed quite miserably in M's short life.IP: Logged |

Hey Lioneye68,On so many levels I would have to agree with you, but only if it was in regards to a life that no one knew. Here are my reasons for why I think she either has Delusional Disorder or is just downright lying. 1. I think I read somewhere that there are at least 30 claims of others being the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe. Heck, there are even claims of being the daughter of Marilyn Monroe and Jack Kennedy. 2. The astrological aspect is not reliable. Many reincarnations wouldn't have that same kind of data. No one knows for sure why the soul picks its chart in the first place, so picking one aspect out of many is unreliable proof. 3. She shows the symptoms of delusional disorder. 4. As a young child she frequently sought psychiatric help which again fuels the fire of a mental disorder rather than a reincarnation story. I'm sorry, but I don't believe being Marilyn would have caused that much grief. 5. In reality, she doesn't act or look like Marilyn Monroe. In fact, her tastes are entirely different, she is a member of a rock band called Pandemonia (hardly successful) and admits that she is a drinker and drug abuser. On top of that, several people can look like MM, even the others who also claim to be the reincarnation of her. Again there is no reliable proof of anything, some psychics saying yes, and others absolutely saying no. 6. She frequents MM's official website, and gets into gross arguments with the fans. Huge fans of MM claim that she is dubious, and most of the information she has to say can be said in several other books. 7. Ted Jordan, the guy she met that claims to know MM, is about as reliable as the guy who sits in jail claiming he's Jesus Christ. One of MM's photographers gets a good look at Sherrie, and then comes out saying, "Let her believe what she wants..." to the psychiatrist, "I don't see it" and then walks away. 8. When someone has delusional disorder, it's easy to fool anyone, even doctors. Hypnosis doesn't alway work for people, it doesn't entirely rid them of preconceived notions of who they think they are. I don't think she was lying intentionally, but I think they were tapping into delusional stuff. I also think there might have been Channeling going on, but nothing more. 9. The reason this ticks me off, is because I think this gives real reincarnations a bad name. I think that deep down inside we all know this is a fraud because I don't believe the real MM would come out with it. I also think that as a fan of MM and a psychic, I hate to see people taking advantage of her name in order to sell books and fulfill their own agenda. I think there are so many lies and myths in regards to Marilyn that no one knows the truth anymore, and it's sad. 10. Here is a Lexigram of Sherrie Lea Laird so far: SHERRIE LEA LAIRD SHARED A DEAD LIE, A RED DRESS SHE LIED, SEAL DEAL LIARS SHARE HER LIES RHEA-HERA SEE-HEAR SEA RAIDERS LADIES READ READERS SEE REAL AIR ARIES By LotusHeartone - She's not done with it yet, and she know nothing about this. As much as I hate psychology, and frequently don't use it to explain anything. I can't help but look at her face, and see delusion written all over it. Here are the symptoms to Delusional Disorder which explains why she isn't entirely schizophrenic or psychotic: DSM-IV-TR (APA, 2000) defines delusional disorder with the following criteria: * Criterion A: Nonbizarre delusions (ie, involving situations that occur in real life, such as being followed, poisoned, infected, loved at distance, or deceived by spouse or lover, or having a disease) of at least 1 month's duration. * Criterion B: Criterion A for schizophrenia has never been met (ie, patients do not have simultaneous hallucinations, disorganized speech, negative symptoms such as affective flattening, or grossly disorganized behavior). Note: Tactile and olfactory hallucinations may be present in delusional disorder if they are related to the delusional theme. * Criterion C: Apart from the impact of the delusion(s) or its ramifications, functioning is not markedly impaired, and behavior is not obviously odd or bizarre. * Criterion D: If mood episodes have occurred concurrently with delusions, their total duration has been brief relative to the duration of the delusional periods. * Criterion E: The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (eg, a drug of abuse, a medication) or a general medical condition. * Subtypes are defined, including erotomanic, grandiose, jealous, persecutory, somatic, mixed, and unspecified.* I would also consider her to be Grandiose Type: * Patients believe that they possess some great and unrecognized talent, have made some important discovery, have a special relationship with a prominent person, or have special religious insight (APA, 2000). * Grandiose delusions in the absence of mania are relatively uncommon, and the distinction of this subtype of disorder is debatable. Many patients with paranoid type show some degree of grandiosity in their delusions (Fennig, 2005). *Note: One continuous delusion is enough to be deemed with delusional disorder. IP: Logged |

so this type of thing is already prevalent I would like to add..that soul pieces shall be returning in body temples here, that have already been here a while... 7 pieces make you whole... and what the prophecies say The Dead will rise from their graves other prophecies say the saints and masters will appear... it's happening! this is an amazing time, in humanity IP: Logged |

I also want to point out that she refers to Marilyn in the third person. Like it's outside of her when it's not supposed to be. In childhood, she felt haunted by an outside presence that she felt was Marilyn. P.S. Lotus, I need you to keep working on that Lexi, it's coming out real well. IP: Logged |

This woman basically thinks that just because she looks a little like Marilyn and has similar problems...that she is Marilyn. I have no comment. Interesting Lexigram, StarLover.
*edit* Oh my bad, it's Lotus's. Well, good work Lotus..LOL. IP: Logged |

edited to retype later...i didn't express myself clearly enough. And while we are talking about reincarnation, Star, check out these claims and I'd love to hear what you all think about a fellow knowflake claiming to be Joan of Arc & Cleopatra. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000323.html IP: Logged |
