Anyone in the upper midwest region of the United States right now are FREEZING THEIR A*SES OFF!!!This does not help my "Seasonal Affective Disorder." I hate the cold, dark, winter months. I like the warmth of the sun on my skin and a summer breeze through my hair. I need to move. Just venting... IP: Logged |

It's -35*F windchill in the upper Midwest but it's Global Warming An icy Arctic blast from the North Pole is creeping across the US...from an area which is supposed to be...warming..and melting the Ice Cap. If you said..Global Warming, right again. When hell freezes over...it will still be..Global Warming Too hot, too cold or just right, it's all.....Global Warming. IP: Logged |

Hi All!I used to live in Ohio, now I reside in San Antonio, Texas.... My grandparents live in northern Indiana. I talked to my grandpa over the weekend and he was thinking about not going out cause the awful cold wind was drifting the snow that was already on the ground. While I miss the seasons and snow around Christmas, I could probably not live in it again. We had an icestorm a couple of weeks ago and I nearly died of cabin feaver, yearning for some sunshine. It has been a very cold winter down here and I am SO ready for some warmth!!! I feel for ya'all~~~ Come down and visit sometime! You may like it! Terri IP: Logged |

Woke up this morning and it was -10 below 0 and that was not the windchill either. In Chicago bc of the lake breeze that makes it 10x's as worst. Uuugghhhh I am so affected by this. It makes me miserable. Pisces can't take this kind of weather..IP: Logged |

That don't help... We need to feel the warmth..Mentally knowing whats outside once we step out there is what we contiue to focus on. Seeing that just makes me think of cold water..****Shivers****Thanks for the nice gesture anyway.. IP: Logged |

It sucks. I am noticing that the furnace just keeps on blowing , taking away all my oxygen and mositure. My aqua . rising just can't take this. And im so worried about my outside kittys. They have been scarce the last few days. I hope they have somewhere warm to go. I have offered my kitchen so many times but they just won't come in. Please send warmth to my kittys.IP: Logged |

It was -19 when I got up this morning..... I plugged the car in last night but it was still pretty cranky about starting and accelerating for awhile..... driving to work, it's hard to see thru the huge foggy clouds coming out of other cars' exhaust pipes..... but the Sun is brightly shining and glittering on the snow You can tell it's *too* cold when you go outside and breathe in thru your nose and your nostrils stick together It's all the way up to -3 now -- hurray!! I'll go out at 4:00 and start my car to let it warm up for 20 or 30 minutes -- no problema!! The people in North Dakota think we're wimps when we moan about below-zero temps..... Thanks for the nice pic, Terri!! But in 4-1/2 months it'll be 90 here, so I'm content to wait..... people who live in year-round warm climates sometimes don't understand the pure joy that spring flowers cause in us Northerners IP: Logged |

Hey Zala~~~O, no, I DO understand!!! We freeze where I live and when we had the ice storm I almost cried to see my roses bent over with ice all over them. We do have our "seasons" and I too, am looking forward to the flowers of spring and the beauty of summer~~~ T IP: Logged |

Is it very different temperatures all over the US then?? I can't imagine it being warm in February! Where's about the same temperature as England? It's maybe 10 degrees here. Looks sunny but actually bloody cold. Still, I heard birdsong this evening which was pleasant. Spring is coming!!!!IP: Logged |

The only time the cold bothers me is when it hits my face. The wind really makes it hurt. My legs and the rest of my body don't bother me though.
I did go to catholic school and I would wear skirts through the winter. Even through blizzards, my friends and I would climb over cars buried in snow and walk to school LOL

I want to move also. I went to school today. It was definitely an artic chill.I felt like within the fist 5 minutes I was dying. My chest was hurting real bad. I actually almost felt my body going. I thought I was gonna die. I left school early. Never been so frightened in my life. I read that the same thing happened to the Mammoths. They froze within seconds like a statue.

Now we have snow...lots of SNOW!!! "White Death," I call it. I wouldn't miss the seasons...I could handle palm trees and sunshine year round. This crap is just ugly. Brown slushy crap on the streets, dirty salt-pelted cars, gray skies and brown trees...lovely. Mmmmmm...brown & gray...such delightful colors! IP: Logged |
