Okay, so there's this school that I've been going to since 7th grade which I absolutely love. It took a while to adjust, but 3 1/2-4 years later I'm finally happy with my friends and social life. Only problem is....is that I've struggled a lot academically at this school, so I might have to leave. I cry every time I think about it. My parents are looking at another school, which is a good school, but it doesn't fit my social needs. I just feel like the culture of this other school completely clashes with my personality.I don't want to continue struggling academically, but I also don't want to go to a school that I'm gonna be unhappy/uncomfortable at. What should I do? ------------------ sun/mercury in taurus, moon in leo, scorpio rising, venus/mars in pisces IP: Logged |

Make a list of pros and cons and sit down with your parents and discuss it.Tell them exactly how you feel, but also tell them that you want them to make the decision that will have the best outcome for you in the future. Hopefully your parents are responsible and will make this decision with your input, but also will do what's best for you instead of what you think is best for you. Sounds kinda complicated, but you have to understand that attachments you have might influence your decision making. Know that whatever happens, you're not alone, and everything will work out. The universe likes to tie you in knots and then untie them. You're going to be ok. IP: Logged |

I once struggled in school when I was in 7th grade. They told me I would have to leave if my grades didn't go up.I straighetend up right away and passed with A's and B's. I graduated and my principal cried and hugged me at my graduation. IP: Logged |

what is it that is making you struggle so much?is it something to do with the school? bad teachers? or is it something you can fix yourself if you work harder? IP: Logged |

There's been concern saying that the school's curriculum doesn't match with the way I learn. I'm always studying day and night and I work so hard, and my teachers and the academic office are aware of this. I've used every single learning strategy they've given me and I'm still not progressing. Now, my contract is being held and I'm on the verge of getting kicked out. The new school that my parents are forcing me into is an okay fit for me academically, but doesn't fit me at all socially...and I don't want to be uncomfortable and depressed for the next 2 years of high school. At this point, my parent's don't even seem to care what I want.I cry just thinking about it. ------------------ sun/mercury in taurus, moon in leo, scorpio rising, venus/mars in pisces IP: Logged |
