You guys speak in weird tongues.

I am most surprised at Lotus posts, did someone steal her password and has been posting for her?
No offense lotus but I don't understand why you were giving me so much cr*p before when you feel this way about sex as well.
maybe I am missing the point somewhere.

I am with you NAM.....
Something is definitely a bit "odd" on this thread.
And it is not simply Lotus playing nice about sexual issues........

'playing nice' what the hell does that mean? There are loads of strange non-sensical phrases on this thread. Very strange. LHS sounds like she usually does deosn't she? Funny you question her even though she normally speaks gibberish, and yet don't cite all the other stuff on this thread. What is going on?

Okay, I have not changed my views, those always stay the same...I realized, that even though the rules say nothing of sexual orientation is allowed, that people will do it anyway, and that moderators will not stop it...
So, I decided to enter this string, and steer it in a respectable direction, and I believe that was achieved...
So, all I did was to try something different, that is all. ...

LOve and Reverence to ALL... .

Well, it's all okay.

There is nothing out of line regarding sex on this thread and nothing wrong with talking about it in this context. No off color stuff.

Thank you for explaining things regarding why you posted this, Highly_Inflammable. Actually I respect you for your way of thinking regarding it. Yes, I know it is very hard.

Hee hee.... you hit that nail on the head. I don't think in all of my history on this site I've actually expressed "having to have it or dying to have it". Actually, it makes me uncomfortable to talk about the need, but I am not shy about talking about sex.

Heck.... If ever there was a time for longing it's now with Bear being in Iraq and me missing the bejeebies out of him

HighlyF-,

I am also a Sag Sun (Aries Moon, Venus in Sag, Virgo rising with Pluto conjunct Rising within 2 degrees- also in my first house).

To each their own but I'd rather not broadcast a need if I can satisfy it or not. Then again, I have Saturn in the 8th in Taurus, thus making pleading or declarations of "needing sex" a bit unsavory in my mind.

If I can't express the need, I divert the desire into more productive alternatives- hobbies, writing, outdoor activities... all things a Sag does when she must go dormant.

Dormant "2 : marked by a suspension of activity: as a : temporarily devoid of external activity <a dormant volcano> b : temporarily in abeyance yet capable of being activated"

Just add one Sexy Leo Husband, Bear, and watch the REACTION Hee hee.....

Pidaua,

well, by the amount of controversy it generated here, I guess its the 'title' that is way too "flagerant" .. I admit my mistake, it is way inappropriate for what I actually wanted to say.. so before you even go down the posts,, your mind is already set..

It is not about lack of sex.. it is about "waiting" and "wanting".. there are people who can have sex without deep attachment, but I can not.. regardless of all the sexual hype attached with a fire sign.. I dont think fire signs do it out of desperation.. NEVER. a cold piece of meat is something none of us can have even if we are starving....and yes it was/is frustrating at times.

to be honest, I am not looking for a solution, for there is no solution. It was to just say it aloud and to see how others percieve it or if there are some who feel that way. I am neither an evil nor an angel, I am very aware of my human contraints and potentials..

I dont feel the need to seek 'acceptance' or 'approval' from anyone. Either good or bad, this is the way I am. My set of morals may not match yours but, believe it that I follow it religiously and I dont abuse ethics to gain favours.

there is one very interesting suggestion though in your post.. "Just add one Sexy Leo Husband, Bear, and watch the REACTION"
..... haa hahah ah,,, ok, let me pack a bag and go on a safari in Africa.

...........
I wish your hubby returns soon, it is very touching to see your love for him, all shining from your posts.

I agree with your statement 100%. I am of the same mind. I'd rather not have sex than to have sex to fill a physical need. I don't find casual sex at all appealing and never have. If I can't have the whole mind, body, soul merge, then its not worth it. I believe that most people fell Fire signs are willing to have sex just to scratch an itch, it has been my experience that most of us aren't like that Hubby feels the same as I do, which made things so much better as a marriage couple.

Now, I find that Earth signs are more able to have sex for the sake of sex- that is not a judgement, that is just an observation.

For the record, I did not pass any judgement on you. I was merely trying to determine the meaning and go from there. I think we're more right on that we are different

Take care-

pidaua

PS... thank you for wishing my husband a safe return. I hope you find someone to burn that fire with- it's a blast!

Highly Inflameable,

You seem honest to the bone.

I get what you're saying. I appreciated your honesty and raw feelings. I judge you in the most postitve sense of judging.

I bet you have some 3rd house-needing-to-communicate-it aspect to your chart.

do you?

Yeah, you are right, Highly_Inflamable. I think it was the title of the post that threw us off. Me anyway. I'm sorry that I misunderstood you and misjudged your intentions.

I have always felt the same way regarding sex as you, Pid and Lotus stated here and I admire and respect you ladies very much for your principals and values in this matter.

It is especially admirable that someone your age ( I think you said 28? ) in this day and age would even be going through the inner struggle that you are enduring due to your principles and value system regarding sex. Casual sex seems to be the "in" thing with younger people. Maybe with many older people too. LOL

It is tough to fight that inner battle between what the body wants and what the mind or spirit wants so I do understand. When it comes to sex it is always much better when two people truly love each other so it's worth holding out for the right person. Even if it is very hard at times.

Regarding a "soul mate" I am not sold on that theory. I think you meet someone who you are highly attracted to for whatever reason, you get to know each other well, and come to love each other. No one can really explain why they fall in love with one person over the many others they may have met or know. I think you grow together, you both teach and learn from each other. You may never totally understand each other which to me doesn't matter so much as the trying to understand the other person.

I have been married to the same man for what will be 42 years this Aug. 28. All I know is that I love him with all my heart and soul and cannot imagine life without him. But I can't tell you for certain that he is my "soul mate." We are different in so many ways. Yet we are the same in that we both accept those differences in each other. We both accept that the other is not a perfect human being. It kind of takes the pressure off a relationship when the other person doesn't feel that they have to meet some perfect standard. It's real nice to be allowed to just be human.

Because I think that once people say they are looking for a "soul mate" it denotes that they have set some kind of standards or ideal of what they expect of the other person. Which does not allow the other person to just be human and just be theirself. I am also not so sure that when people say "soul mate" they are not talking about someone who thinks and feels just as they do, or just an extension of their ego. How boring would that be if you had to be with someone day in and day out who thought and felt exactly as you did about everything?

In the case of what I just mentioned I can definitely tell you that my husband is not my soul mate. lol

I might be wrong. I think people have different thoughts on what soul mate means. I don't think that my husband and I were "destined" for each other. If that was the case we wouldn't have had to work so hard at the relationship. And that would have taken all the fun out of it. I just feel blessed to have him in my life.

I hope you find that special someone in your life, Highly_Inflamable. I am certain that you will.

and sorry it is late but

HI to Acoustic God.., nice to meet you.

&

someone asked about "mercury".. I am putting the mercury part from my cafeastrology's natal chart report .. (since my astro know-how is quite preliminery)

................
Mercury represents communication, Cartesian and logical spirit.

Mercury in Sagittarius

Enthusiastic, humorous, and sometimes moralistic. She has strong opinions, and often shares them! Democrat, philosopher, tolerant, respectful of laws. Interested in foreign places and learning more languages. Believes that everything teaches you something.

Mercury in III

Deep studies. Adaptable. She is attracted to the Arts/letters. She knows how to share ideas. Moves around a lot professionally. She can easily keep many irons in the fire at the same time.

86 Sextile Mercury - Jupiter

She is intelligent, has big ideas: she is tolerant and has a strong sense of justice. She has good judgement, good sense and has her feet on the ground. She has the "gift of the gab", and likes to speak, she also likes literature. She is erudite and will normally be successful socially.

252 Conjunction Mercury - Neptune

She can put down in writing everything that her imagination and intuition dictates.

61 Sextile Mercury - Pluto

She has a great sense of observation and quickly grasps the situation. She is crafty, subtle and critical.

" Mirandee "!!!! Is all I can say!!!

You go Girl!!!

I think Madonna said it well just resently, if you think that your SOUL MATE is perfect, you better run!!! She feels that if her husband Richie was perfect for her, she wouldn't GROW!!!

I think your with your Soul Mate Mirandee & thats what its all about, is Growing & Sharing in relationships!!! I think alot of people give up to easy these days. I also believe Mirandee that its a extension also, of ones own ego if they have this big tall order of who & how ones " Soul Mate " should look & be.

Back to the drawing broad or should I say, " Look in the Mirror & See what your reflecting " before you order!!!!

IT JUST MY BE AN EXTENSION OR REFLECTION OF ONE LEARNING HOW TO LOVE!!!!

No, is the person we can learn from (take) and keep doing that for the rest of our lives and doesn't get stuck while youa re the only one that grows.
He is not perfect but in a lot of sense he is like me as far as his views of the world and his "wants" , we are partners and we work for common goals to make us grow individually and as a team.Is not about only me or only him, is about us and our "likes" as individuals.
"we" are not perfect but we achieve perfection for us at our level.

has anyone met him? please tell him I am waiting for him

oh yeah, I forgot all that i said above with a good portion of desire and passion
