according to the evidence on the website, it's in the best interest of Courtney Love to keep the invesigation closed.if it were someone important to me, whether or not a famiy member, i would want to know for certain whether his death was a murder, suicide, or otherwise. IP: Logged |

I watch those too, Mirandee, I'm hooked. What shows do you like the documentary, melodramas? Right now I'm watching Dateline, but I love Court tv's shows and A&E's Coldcase Files and American Justice. I still have a tough time with the way people treat each other.

I watch all the ones that you mentioned, starr. I like both the documentaries and the melodramas or reinactments. I really like Cold Case too. I know what you mean. I have a hard time with the way people treat each other too. Some of those murders are so brutal. So I like to see the bad guys caught. My husband got me addicted to those shows. As a matter of fact he is watching Court T.V. right now as I type this. He told me he is finding out what not to do. LOL

Like it or not, Steve, we human beings are always under a microscope. Hopefully we use one on ourselves first and foremost. I am told that you do by you and those who know you better than I. Not that it is important because people will perceive things as they will anyways, but just wanted to clarify that I was not justifying or saying my behavior at times is okay. I was actually trying to say that I know my flaws, maybe not all of them yet but I am sure someone will point out to me any that I miss. Which, even if I may not accept it positively at the time ( ego defense ) I will give consideration to it on inner inspection. Truthfully!! Also wanted to clarify that what I said about "letting it all hang out" does not mean that we should disregard the feelings of others. I know this. Don't always do it. " Wretched man/woman that I am!." What both my daughter said here on this thread about me and what Steve said is true about me at times. I can be distracted, I can sometimes forget to temper things with compassion and empathy. Though if you are a compassionate and empathetic person by nature it's always there. I just forget to show it times when I am testy. I'm glad that Lia posted as she did here. She was seeing both sides of the situation as she knows me well and she knows Steve much better than I do. I'm glad because it does show that I give my kids the freedom to slap mom on the wrist when they feel I am out of line. Like I stated before, I feel blessed to be surrounded by a family and friends who do that with me. Shows they love me and care enough to help me grow as a person. I actually agree with Steve's assessment of Kurt Cobain. His soul, who he was as a person, is not only reflected in his music, but in his eyes and face. So his death, however it may have happened or for whatever reason, is a loss to the world because we need all the beautiful souls we can get to remind us of what it is all about in music or writing or whatever form they express themselves. I look at his pictures and that pain he endured from his ailment or inner suffering is at times on his face. That Kurt Cobain and Steve relate to the crucified Jesus is very intune and accurate on a spiritual level. We all are the crucified Jesus. There is no human emotion, no judgement, no hurt that others lay on us that Jesus did not experience in his life. Even to the point of death. The thing that we need to concentrate on is not that Jesus was crucified, it is the risen Lord that most Christians adore. The concentration is on the ressurected Jesus who overcame his death on the cross and rose above it. He even overcame death to let us know that even death itself is no loss and cannot destroy the soul. Unless of course, we allow it to do that. I have been accused by Lotus and even you Steve of being "long winded" or yammering. YUP, I do that. I guess I feel I have some part of the puzzle of life to add too. Whatever anyone says to me in that regards will not silence me. I will keep talking and I hope we all do. Because we might just in all of our yammering say one thing that touches someone else and in the midst of all our yammering on and on, we just might allow God to be heard through us once in awhile. Nigel Bruce played Watson opposite Basil Rathbone in the role of Sherlock Holmes. Hound of The Baskerville's was my favorite, starr. That's Basil Rathbone in Steve's picture. IP: Logged |

Yes! Basil Rathbone. My ex boyfriend found almost all of the Jeremy Brent videos from a pawn shop, and I was so happy, because I think he was the best Holmes out of all of them. I have a few of the Rathbone videos, but I've seen the rest of them on tv. IP: Logged |

So sad, so sad It's a sad, sad situation... So sad, so sad Why can't we get it over (with) ... Sorry seems to be the hardest word...What am I gonna do To make you love me? What am I gonna do To make you care? So sad, so sad...
Yeah, I kinda stole that from Elton John (although I might have made a couple of modifications. btw I worship Elton John). This thread wasn't meant to be such a heated argument. This thread was started with a beautiful, loving and profoundly philosophical post. A beautiful verse. HSC, thanks for sharing that verse with us. quote: Like you would know.Like AA keeps records of all the people it has f-cked up. Like you are in any position to judge the state of my soul.
HSC quote: My friends, how desperately do we need to be loved and to love. When Christ said that man does not live by bread alone, he spoke of a hunger. This hunger was not the hunger of the body. It was not the hunger for bread. He spoke of a hunger that begins deep down in the very depths of our being. He spoke of a need as vital as breath. He spoke of our hunger for love. Love is something you and i must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look out confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy ourselves. With it we are creative. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others. - Chief Dan George
quote: my problem isnt how to give and receive love, but how to cope with not giving and receiving love.
quote: I take mushrooms once a month, at most.I get drunk once every few weeks. I smoke pot once a week. Those are the facts. Drugs are not my problem.
No, it's not. You're just being honest. quote: "I was living in a devil town didnt know it was a devil town oh lord it really brings me down about the devil town And all my friends were vampires didnt know they were vampires turns out i was a vampire myself in the devil town" - Daniel Johnston
Thanks again for sharing this with us, HSC. It's touchingly true. Peace Lake
