The only thing I have in the eighth is Chiron in Aries. Some chart systems say my Mars in Taurus is there, but it fits better in the 9th. AG, what do you do for a living, if you don't mind elaborating. IP: Logged |

Not good or bad, Mirandee, just different. Each planet(ary body) is a different aspect of ourselves. Your moon for example is your emotional self. The sign it is in is the job your emotional self does, and the house is the atmosphere/realm/environment where the aspect of yourself does the job. People are "programmed" to do different "jobs" or different "work" in different environments. I'm not an expert, but it is a place to start for understanding the houses, if you are wondering.I'm looking a lot up tonight, it must be good astrology education weather for me. Thanks for the replies everyone! Moon Child, I'm glad you replied to say you didn't have anything in the 8th. Cool. Slayer, would you mind giving examples of how those aspects affect you that loosely deal with the info on the link? I'm still learning to blend all of the aspects, and I don't have the asteroids memorized. I think I could figure it out if I took about a half hour and worked it slowly like a math problem, but any cliff notes you wouldn't mind sharing would be great. S, Sat in Virgo in 8th would mean you are karmically responsible for doing mental healing in the Scorpio environment and that blends well with your Sun/Venus/MC/Uranus purposes as well... and I know Chiron has something to do with healing and wounded too... so that sounds about right. That one was a little easier. I almost asked you the same aspect question. S, how do you know what the Chart Ruler is? Is it the same as NN? And since your NN is Vir, you are meant to be a healer in this area. Excellent. And AG's NN too... I don't understand Jupiter or Pisces as fully as other energies, so I can't comment on Zala or Blue Moon's info, but I wouldn't mind knowing what it means to you guys. Star Gazer, I don't understand the differences in the charts although I think AG told me once. Dulce, again, I've only read about Vesta and Lilith about once each. I haven't focused on learning astrology for the past couple years, just picked new things up from good posts and links here.

Starr,I work at a bank in the mortgage lending department. Get this, I also work for a Scorpio supervisor, and a Capricorn Manager. How perfect for my 8th house Capricorn Sun, huh? So far including my bosses and myself, I count 6 feminine (earth/water) sun signs in my department (2 Capricorns, 1 Scorpio, 1 Pisces, 1 Taurus, and 1 Cancer). I've only found two masculine signs so far, a Gemini and an Aries. I don't think I've ever worked in such a feminine-sign-friendly environment. MysticMelody, The Chart Ruler is the planet that rules the sign your ascendant is in. For example, my ascendant is Gemini, so my Chart Ruler is Mercury (the ruler of Gemini and Virgo). The North Node is the implied lesson you're supposed to learn this life. The North Node is always accompanied by the South Node (directly opposite in the chart). The South Node reflects an area that you are too comfortable. It reflects an area that you've perfected in previous lifetimes. The South Node imparts certain gifts that are supposed to assist you in attaining your North Node goal this lifetime. So if Stephen's NN is in Virgo, then his big life lesson this time around is to learn the lesson of Virgo. His South Node (area of comfort that he comes from) is in Pisces. Here is a thread with an introduction to Virgo North Node/Pisces South Node: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007995.html My NN is in Capricorn, which you can find out about here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007999.html North Node in the 8th house is similar to a Scorpio North Node (because Scorpio rules the 8th house). Here's an introduction to Scorpio/8th house North Node: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007997.html IP: Logged |

Thank you, AG. I understand NN/SN, I talked to Tim about it a lot when I first came here a year or so ago. I didn't know that my chart ruler was Saturn though... or I had forgotten. Thank you! I thought maybe our purpose/lesson/goal NN was also called the Ruler because I didn't understand the "Ruler". I might check out your links tomorrow, I am getting sleepy. IP: Logged |

MysticMelody, I wish I knew more, but as you know there is very little information about asteroids. All I know is Angelina Jolie has Lilith in Pisces, 8th house, and I think it explains our powerful side, revolting against male supremacy when it is needed.

. Hmmm, Lilith I've only read about once too. I really don't the effect. But I know Vesta has to do with Virginity/sexuality.....sort of like a Madonna-wh0re Complex thingy (fitting that I have it in virgo, and in the 8th at that!).
How does this apply to me personally? I think it has alot to do with the conflict between the culture that I came from vs. culture I grew up in. Different morals coming into conflict (especially concerning sexuality). I have my parents telling me one thing but my peers doing another so from time to time I'm torn between the two. Just my moon alone though, has an intense effect in my moods. i'm probably moodier than the average cancer. But on intuitive abilitie, I'm not even sure....I have so much water influence in my chart already that I can;t tell where it comes from (perhaps all of it).

MM It is confusing... I understand the difference between the 7th and the 8th house... I have a lot of 8th house/Scorpio in my chart with Placidius (default on Astro). Most Astrologers use Placidius. However, Equal houses are across the board.. meaning it works well no matter where you live... Something happens to the houses when you use Placidius and live really far North or South .My 7th house spans three signs.. Cancer on the DC 26'. Leo is intercepted and the house ends at about 9'Virgo. My Sun, Merc. Venus are conjunct in Virgo earlier than 9' Virgo.. So When you use the Equal or Koch system the house size is divided differently and it is enough to change theStellium to being in the 8th instead of the 7th... My Saturn also changes from the 2nd to the 3rd....Some people are not affected at all. The angles all stay the same... the house size changes.... You can look at your chart using all the house systems on Astro. I can only say that I can totally relate to each house interpretation. It would be hard to choose which one is "more" right. Again, i can only say that because the Scorpio/8th house influence..Pluto in the 8th is bound to give you a strong Plutonian nature anyway.. My 7th house is also packed even without the Stellium.. So I feel the Libra energy, too.
The Pullen charts are interesting, too. An equal house Pullen Chart makes Scorpio the strongest in my chart.. Even with 5 planets in Virgo... Iwould say that someone with no other 8th house/Scorpio influences in their chart might be able to say that yes, the 8th house energy is there or no, it's more Libra energy. The 8th house is very misunderstood. Having learned the hard way, I've found with this energy it is especially important to be aware of the straight and narrow... Going down the wrong road can make what would be to most "innocent"... a life altering event in a very dark sense.. The appeal is most certainly there. IP: Logged |

Slayer, cool, that helps some. I haven't really investigated it enough to know about the limited info, but thanks for telling me. I don't know much about Angelina, but I do know that she has a powerful presence and that she is active in making a difference in the world, which I respect. About the "revolting against male supremecy when it is needed", yes, I like that about you, but I always thought it was just the Aries energy, the asteroids seem to very subtle energies so it easier to understand them from the point of view of someone who feels the influence in their life. Thanks!IP: Logged |

Dulce, thanks for the Vesta info, now I'm curious again so I'll probably look it up soon. Thanks for letting me know your interpretation of how the energy works in your life, with the added explanation of the Virgo and 8th house thing. I will probably remember Vesta now. I understand what you mean about not knowing where a certain influence comes from when you are dealing with a lot of similar energies. I have always had a problem understanding Ascendant because my moon and AC are both Capricorn so it is difficult for me to determine. I did get to experience a long relationship a long time ago with a Virgo who had a Scorp AC and Leo moon, so it was easy for me to see how his feelings could bring out his AC and how his AC blended with his Sun as well, otherwise I wouldn't understand the AC at all. It took me a long time. I am just beginning to understand the water in my chart.IP: Logged |

Stargazer, I have read your reply three times and I have looked at my own chart to understand what you are saying. My 8th also spans three (with Placidius), beginning in Leo, so I understand exactly what you mean about paths/innocence and life altering. Venus, Uranus, Sun, Pluto and Merc each march straight across the top of my chart, begining at 27 Virgo and ending at 13 Libra. The information you are giving me is VERY important to me and is expanding my knowledge at the perfect time. Thank you very much.IP: Logged |

AG, if Saturn is my chart ruler since I have a Cap AC, and Saturn is in Gemini in the 5th house, what does "Ruler" add to that? Right now I would see it as I am responsible karmically (had to look that up to make sure I wasn't making up a word...) to communicate in the areas of romance, children, creation, art, pleasure, music, etc. Does "Ruler" make this more powerful or important or prominant or obvious or ...?Oh, and I read your links last night, they were shorter than I thought! Thanks. Zala posted some info for me once too, I couldn't search but I hear Google works so I'll try that sometime soon. IP: Logged |

Thanks to all the mentions of the word "stellium", I finally took the time to look it up. Now I'm trying to figure out mine. If anyone would like to share some input so I can view it from as many different perspectives as possible, that would be very cool. I'd also love to hear how others experience their own stelliums.
