hey sunshineI'm good but feel a bit drained after the movie. I sure tend to teleport myself out to the movie scene and feel what the actors depict. Must be the Neptune in me. Give a big kiss to your sweet Piscean munchkin. I can imagine how good he feels in his mommy's arms IP: Logged |

I've been curious about this movie, thanks Jazz. I think I'll pick it up tomorrow, if available. Is it disturbing like the movie "Human Trafficing"? If you haven't seen it, I worn you, it's disturbing right from the get-go. Well, it's about people, mainly young girls, who are kidnapped & forced into a brothel life. IP: Logged |

hi lioneye,I am sure you'd like the "Little children". There are no disturbing scenes per se but the storyline is too real for comfort and the actors are so good at conveying the truth in their roles - it almost felt like I've been witness to the story... heck, it felt like I've been thru that before. I was particulary taken by Jackie Haley (Ronnie). He was nominated for Oscar for his role. Great acting, great directing too (Todd Field). I crave more films like that. Haven't seen but definitely will rent the "Human trafficing". Mira Sorvino is one of my faves how's life treating you so far, are you still with the first Virgo?

This movie was excellent!------------------ Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.... The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert Frost IP: Logged |

Haven't managed to rent it yet, but do intend to this weekend. I'll post my review after that (PS, yes, still with Virgo #1, the one with the Leo moon, etc - and life is pretty ok lately, just trying to keep out of trouble - thanks for asking, Jazz) IP: Logged |

Yes, I hear you. I was exactly the same way. I was almost ready to champion the cause, but my life circumstances really don't make that possible. I'm definately glad to be aware that such a problem exists on such a large scale. Everybody should watch this movie, for no other reason than to be made aware. Parents, grandparents, children, teenagers, caregivers, airline employees, storekeepers, EVERYBODY on the planet needs to be more aware of this horrible horrible crime taking place right under everyones noses, everywhere in the world. **rant over***

Jazz I think of you often, and hope your life is as beautiful as you are! How are you, dear one?I am doing really great, busy, with a fulfilling life. I am working on my 2nd novel, which is very exciting. The subject is different, unorthodox, and I'm thrilled with it! I have not yet met the dimple guy...but I await him eagerly. There was one with dimples who I thought had promise, but it was not He. Is your email addy still the same? Would love to keep in touch, and share my novels with you one day. You gave me a great gift when I needed it, and I thank you still. By the way, I'm with you on this one sistah: I refuse to live in fear. Or better put, perhaps: I choose to be fearless! ------------------ Everything feels possible. Perhaps more is possible than we think. -P.H.

Living in fear is what causes the average person to turn a blind eye to injustices. I say, Be brave! Be aware! Be someone who could make a difference, simply because they choose to not be oblivious. Anyway, it's too late now. You saw the movie, and so now you know. You can't go back to not knowing. A person can pretend they don't know, sure - but there are terms for that kind of behavior in the world of psychology, and they tend to describe symptoms of one form of neurosis or another. I guess, the thing is, if you unexpectedly find yourself picking up clues or hints, or possible indications that something of this nature is going on, your instictive reactions to it will be based on a position of wisdom, not niavety...and hopefully, not fear. This movie really hit me on a profound level, as you may have gathered. Perhaps it's the Aquarian moon, champion of social causes, perhaps it's the utter exploitation and destruction of children, which are dear to the Leo heart, a source of great pride and promise....Perhaps it's just normal human reaction to something so vile. Not sure. I do know, that if left to my own devices, I would have no qualms about doing great harm to the people who profit from this. IP: Logged |

I saw this movie, this past weekend, I did not like it!First, the unfaithful, why not get divorced if they are unhappy, so in the end nothing changes, they go back to their life, and remain unhappy! UnLOved!? and the pedophile, never gets the help he needs, makes me wonder, about our society.. I found it to be very depressing, with no happy ending. ... LOve and Reverence to ALL... . IP: Logged |
