Wish it was some remarkable epiphany of the mystery of God or the universe that I was sharing here with you but sorry, no, obviously God assigns the ordinary mysteries to me.

This song was a big hit when I was only about 14 years old. I loved the song and always wondered what he was singing about because it is sung in Japanese.

Messing around at You Tube today I found the song again after all these years and also an updated version of it sung in English. I am so happy!!! I now know the mystery of the lyrics!!!

This is the original version in japanese. Beautiful song I think. Kind of haunting.

Oh My GOSH!!!

My Mother used to sing that song to me when I was a little girl, to get me to fall asleep at nite.

I had forgot about this memory of time & I don't know what she was saying or should I say singing, but it was always sung with so much feeling & heart!!!

Its funny Mirandee, but my Mother is a Pisces & me being a Pisce's Mooner & ALL!!!LOL!!!

I haven't talked to my Mother in 11yrs now!!! By Choice of cause!!! I LOVE HER, I Just don't Like her, her ways of going about life, if you know what I mean!!!

GOD BLESS HER, SHE HAS TAUGHT ME SO MUCH ABOUT MYs-ELF!!!! Through s-ELF reflection!!!

Don't worry, I have told her yrs ago in a closer letter, just how well she has taught me!!! I thanked her for those lessons & now see them as Gifts & Blessings for Me!!! Oh, I love that song The Lion Sleeps Tonight too. And I agree with you guys it is a perfect segue to Sukiyaki.

Star, I think I must just really pick up on your energy. I do that with some people I talk to online. Can't explain it. But it is really neat and I like it when it happens. It's as you said, a connection.

That is so cool what you told me about your mom singing that song to you as a kid. And you know what, for some reason today that song just popped in my head and I thought I would search for it. I doubted that I would find it but there it was!

I don't believe in coincidences so I think there is more to it. Some meaning or some purpose that I, and maybe you, are not aware of at this time.

Node, I like the Japanese version of the song much better too. Sounds prettier and more haunting.
