I read it, and its good to know feminism is alive and well, and that women, and generations of women, are not so divided amongst themselves as we may have been led to believe. I can definitely sympathize with the author's frustration with a soundbite-mad media, always looking to make things simpler and juicier by highlighting the contrasts and conflicts.

Actually ladies I was not referring to any of you as all you were doing was spiraling in your thoughts and attempting to discuss your viewpoints with HSC. I think that's wonderful. I truly enjoyed reading what you all had to say.

You have every right to be angry with me, and to continue to voice your concerns and pursue this matter further, if you so wish. Please understand and respect, though, that I have moved on, and will not be commenting further. you entered into the discussion on women several times lately, and i am sure, (or less sure, but i would like to think)... that you had good
intentions.. or at least intentions to form
opinions by flexing a less-firm one and seeing if
it sets like jello the more you assert it....
but what i see in this thread that lead to another
thread which lead to another thread.. (not
necessarily in that order)..... is some interesting
spiritual meanderings.

you have not experienced higher love in the act of
loving children. whether adopting or creating, you
create an amazing bond with your child.
you have not done this.
right now these claims are lofty and in the realm of imaginings, no matter how inspired they might be.
now you will say; well, i don't have to cut off my foot to imagine how horrific that would be, or something....
well.. to judge another on the scope you are doing... in this case, yes you do.

if there were a circumstance to take on a child in
my life that i did not biologically create.. would
i love the child? absolutely. but will i adopt? no.
because i lack compassion? in the absolute contrary... I have limitations. earthly limitations.
i tell my children i love them to the moon and back
but i can't go to the moon and back to prove it.
my children have taught me so much more, daily,
than you can carry to the moon...
humbleness is necessary when you are always
learning new things, and children are the greatest
teachers, whether i make them or 'get them'.
there are different degrees of love and to measure
them and determine one the only way to be
compassionate.. well, that’s ignoring the basis of
the thing that you can't be judgmental about.
you can't judge, you can't measure.. you aren't
talking about hate or pain, it's love. innocent love!

these are my opinions, i am not pointing out your
perceived faults, i am not judging you nor would i
deem myself adept to understand what goes on in
another’s personal held ideologies or lifestyles.. spiritual or otherwise.
i should hope that same respect would be living and well in your brain.. because no matter the subject, no matter how deeply held the idea... you can't know all things.

that? i was talking about biology, you were talking about ideology. i referred to, very simply, a biology lesson. at the time, we hadn't ventured into the judgment portion of your posts. i only said as a female, i make the babies.. i didn't say i didn't need help, nor did i say everyone should go make babies or because i could, i would.
even those babies in the world who need homes had to be born from a woman’s womb.
it was a joke actually, when you said 'it isn't fair for women to experience so much more in the orgasm department'(paraphrase obviously), i joked that if we did one ouchy, we'd better get the other yummy.. as in 'haha, lol, funny haha joke’. i find it sad that i had to explain that.

did leads me to believe that you are in fact, so

only ones that you believe yourself to be an infallible omnipotent guru.

it is not the person who makes a guru, it is the people.
so be a spiritual leader and don't judge when you
should listen.
