and I appreciate your concern. I'm feeling really good right now, actually. I came to a realization and made a break-through. I don't have to defend myself obsessively to everyone who misunderstands and maligns me. Struggling so hard to articulate my points inoffensively when I am feeling offended, and to answer every single objection carefully and thoroughly, when no one else seems to take the same trouble. I've just been taking this way too seriously, and giving way too much of myself, my heart, my mind, and my energy, to people who don't get me and probably never will. I'm very different, and I just need to accept that a lot of people aren't going to get me, and stop busting my @ss to explain myself. All that effort creates so much pressure and tension, and last night it blew, but it also cleared the air, and taught me a thing or two.
I just freed up a lot of energy.
I'm reborn, a new man.  Codependent No More!

I figured as much!!!LOL!!!Right over his head!!! Thats why I'm moving on, I just lived the Victim Roll for the last 41yrs of my life & I have meet some of the FINEST MASTERS (TEACHER'S) at playing the " SAD VICTIM PLAY " when things don't go THEIR WAY!!!! Some just never get it & have to live the pain way all their lives. It's like an addiction, a trap a fix, but nothing every gets fixed, just a strong desire to fix others problems & take the attention & s-ELF work off thems-ELVES, thats so needed for s-ELF AWARENESS !!! Takes to much time & energy to live this way!!! TO HEAVY FOR ME!!! SAD THOUGH!!! I'm going where the LOVE is because I CAN!!! TRUCKING RIGHT ALONG!!! IP: Logged |

Additionally I want to point out that "PLAYING THE VICTIM" is NOT the same thing as BEING THE VICTIM(s)! The player is doing it for attention, the real victim is a real victim no playing is involved.------------------

Dulce, good one !  Faye, Dulce, Solane Well ladies, I knew it all along. Now I know a phony when I see one. Through this thread I learnt to trust my gut instinct about a person, no matter the appearances. making hearts soooo does not equate to love. there has to be a basic respect shown for the other person, for claims of universal love to be valid. We are not afforded even that. Yesterday I reread the whole thread, and found that I don't regret a single thing I said. Nowhere, in my own conscience, did i cross the line. I am at peace. I just want to say that all you ladies have poured yourself into some very heart felt posts on this thread and I can't really pick any one out of all you who have not contributed so much insight here. Even if it did get a bit side tracked from cancerrg's orignial post it is one of the best threads we have had at LL due to you ladies and all you have contributed here. DL, Star, ILWL, Zala, Fayte, Lotus, Pix all of you are just wonderful, intelligent, strong women. Bless you all. Would also like to say that I am so happy ( and I am sure that both Lotus and Fayte are as well ) to discover that both you Star and ILWL have joined our ABOW ( Angry, Bitter, Old Women ) club. hee hee Good thing there is no age limit in our club because ILWL is younger than HSC and Star is not that much older than him. At any rate we meet on Thurs. evenings to plot and this Thurs. we are making little dolls. We ask that you all bring a very long hat pin for the dolls. Precisely at midnight we will have a bonfire in the woods and bay at the moon. Anyone else who like to join ABOW is more than welcome. IP: Logged |
