I am seeking advice and wisdom and any personal help that can be given for someone I know and love dearly in India.

I have been friends via e-mail, snail mail and phone calls with a PhD scholar in India. His field of study is in Enviorment Science and he has been published in peer reviewed publication 7 times. He has been told to apply to most major universities (Yale, Texas A&M, Cardif, ect.) both here and in the UK. He has run into many problem because he is POOR...he does not come from one of those families that can afford to send their child overseas for a better oppertunity.

I know that the US is not excepting any more visa applcations for students or jobs this year which is really beside the point if he does not have the money it takes in a saving account to appease the govenment.

Anyone here that has gone through the process of leaving India for US or UK? Or anyone that knows anything about this subject?

Ask any and all the questions that you need to in order to get a better idea about this situation of me...I will gladly tell anyone.
