What is this now about the pain of circumcision? One's child goes to the doctor to get a shot for medical reasons...and that's painful. People get ears pierced for cosmetic reasons (babies in particular in my culture)....and that's painful. I mean what is with the "always need to feel good at all costs" mentality of this culture? Its almost Satanic, but let me bite my tongue before I open another can of worms.

OMG JayThe moderator was referring to the people in the video who are attempting to bring a court case on Jesus's behalf as idiots. Just to clarify. naiad, Now that you used the term "many Christians" instead of the generalized way you first stated it, I am cool with that. "Many Christians" does not denote the same thing as saying "Christians." Yes, many Christians do as you say. Just like with everything else in the world be it religion or astrology or whatever, some people will get it wrong or they will use what they learn as a weapon against other people. It's individuals. Not a whole generalized belief system. Many Christians use the Bible as a weapon to beat others over the head with. That's not Jesus' fault or the fault of any Christian Faith be it Protestant or Catholic. My point is that people can't and shouldn't judge a whole belief system on what some do. It's fine with me for people to discuss what they think about religions and their particular beliefs. But when you are discussing the belief systems of others it should be done with respect and with tact. IP: Logged |

I would never do that to my child. It's disgusting.
It's easy to make a decision like that when you aren't the one who's gonna go through the pain. My cat is not neutered. I would never make him go though that pain. Even my vet said if he's not an outdoor cat and doesn't spray then why do it? It's only natural...crap they were born with it. Who are you to say it needs to be cut off? Perhaps we should do the same to you? Let's see who will be crying then.
