My Kitty poo never has hairballs. I brush his hair everyday. It's silky and beautiful.

He's never even coughed one up in his life.

Who the hell are you to tell me I have to love Carnivores who take part in the massacre of innocent animals?
Screw you!
Just because you're in denial about what you eat going through pain...doesn't mean I have to worship you.
This topic is about an animal. What else are we going to talk about in here? You're hairy a$$?
Apparently you haven't yet learned how to have civil DISCUSSIONS minus name-calling with people whose viewpoints differ from yours.
You've already passed nine lives/incarnations here, Jay.
Edit your post, or we Mods will.

Are we still replying to her threads? Really? Nothing better to talk about than trying to convert animals to vegetarians?

Maybe this should go in either the Health & Healing or the Heathcliff's Corner forums?

AG the topic on this thread is the story of the lion Little Tyke. Which is a heart warming and inspiring story.

The beauty of that story is getting lost in the ongoing debate of altering nature. But personally I find it an interesting topic if we just discuss it without the personal attacks on others who hold a different viewpoint.

Also it is my understanding that Free For All means just that. People can discuss whatever they want to talk about here.

Jay, I agree with what Zala said and you should go back and edit your posts to both Sattvic and Dulce Luna. We would prefer that people edit their own posts but if they don't, we will. Name calling and personal attacks are against the rules at LL and for that reason not allowed at FFA.

I fail to see how you can disdain the violence in the animal kingdom where animals kill each other for food to survive and yet you practice violence in the form of verbal abuse on your fellow human beings. Violence is violence. At least in the animal kingdom there is a purpose to their violence against fellow animals. Their survival is at stake. There is no purpose to verbal abuse.

Would be nice to see you show just a little of the empathy for your fellow humans as you do for animals who are killed for food.

The Native American people had to kill animals to survive. The buffalo was their prime source of protein and nourishment as well as their housing and clothing. The Native Americans used every part of the buffalo. They could not have survived without the buffalo. Yet Native Americans always gave thanks to the animals they killed for the sacrifice they made for their survival. We are supposed to do the same and many do by saying grace at meals.

Human beings just happen to be at the top of the food chain but like it or not there is in nature a food chain. At this time in our evolution anyway.

According to some show I watched about our evolution, we wouldn't have the brains we have if we never started eating meat. I have no idea of the validity of the statement.

Actually Acoustic, its not that far off from accuracy. There are two sources of the essential Omega 3 Fatty acid (essential for both the immune system and the creation of Neurons; Brain cells.) Either a person can get their supply of O3FA from Nuts or from eggs and Seafood (particularly fish.)

Nuts may be wholsesome to our diet but they aren't as big a prominant source of O3FAs as much as fish is. That is why its recommended to include fish in our diet as a good protien source instead of beef.

Jay,

Mirandee and I are both Moderators at this forum. I am pretty certain that Mirandee was addressing you a few posts above when she wrote:

I'm far from alone on this one

Jay,

Zala is not exactly alone in this. If you read my post I backed up her decision because I fully agree with what she said.

Randall also backs up the decisions of his mods. Especially when we are trying to uphold the guidelines he has set for this site.

Come on, Jay. Edit your posts and be nice. You got a miracle sent your way today when the Nevada police found and rescued the little girl in your post. Lets celebrate that by embracing everyone here with kindness. What do you say?

PS Jay: I'd like to hear your answer to Dulce's question. I have cats too and I cringe at feeding them anything's "byproducts".

What does your cat eat??
