I have been floating around LL for a long time now....not that longevity gives me the right to take a stand, but I want to add to this conversation.

I try to not get involved in the daily dramas here.

I come here to speak with like minds, because its relaxing, because it is fun. There have always been posters here that I don't agree with, and posters whom, in real life, I would probably dislike greatly.
In an online, public community, it difficult to avoid people one would chose to not hang out with.

In real life, its much easier- "I don't like you, I will choose not to be in the same environment as This Person."

I must say that LL is so different then when I first came here. Is this good, or bad? Not my call.

It's up to the individual to decide.

I must say that I avoid posting because I choose not to be attacked. I am also weary of the judgmental attacks. I am weary of the drama.

I don't care what happened 1 year ago, or 5 years ago. Bringing up the past to demean or attack people is simply ludicrous.

Lindaland cannot evolve and grow if we choose to wallow in past perceived hurts or attacks.

I think what it comes down to is this- we all want to be acknowledged. It feels good when when someone agrees with us- it feels good when someone "hears" what we say.

Sometimes, we have become conditioned that any attention- even if it is negative- satisfies the need for connection with others.

I do really love this place. It saddens me to see the war games and taking sides.
Its naive to believe we all can "just get along."

But isn't that what Linda was trying to manifest?

Undoubtedly, the emails which were posted had to be taken down as they were offensive to not only the one she was angry with, but others, one of who has recently passed away, so the feelings of this soul, wherever she may be- as well as her loved ones- had to be taken into account also.

We don't have to agree with or accept a persons actions to forgive them. I hope all those involved can, in time, find it in their hearts to forgive.

It's very easy to hide behind noble sentiments, and love is a word that rolls off the tongue with little forethought.

People create the forum they want, be it by their words, their actions, their reactions and just as importantly, their non-reactions.

If the forum changes it will only ever be because the people really want it to.

All I am suggesting is for people to stick to the thread subject whatever the subject is... bringing up issues from another thread is totally childlish.

Randall is the person in charge of who is/is not banned. If you have a question about it, you should contact him and tell him your concerns.

Maybe you know something the rest of us don't, but,
from what I could gather at a glance,
the emails she posted were months, if not years, old,
and were supportive in nature.
They were examples of times when 'Zala and Mirandee tried to befriend lotus.
Honestly, I dont know what point lotus was trying to make by posting them.

Please dont use my name to make your points. Mirandee's conflicts with me in the past were not personal, as you alleged. We had our disagreements long before any off-line connection was identified, and she exhibited as much, if not more, objectivity in her relations toward me after the connection was noted, than before.

I don't know what has you and silver (and lotus) so full of spite. I don't know who said what nasty things to whom. I dont know who provoked whom, intentionally or unintentionally, or who might have considered themselves provoked. I read the posts written by people on all sides and it just makes my head spin. Despite whatever personal feelings I may have invested, I have chosen not to stick my nose into this behind the LL scenes. All I know is that someone I care about is involved and is upset, and has made every effort not to participate in this debacle, despite perhaps having more of a right to speak than anyone. I think she suffers more for your sakes than for her own. I love this person, and I have difficulty imagining that any of this is her fault. I do wish I knew what was going on, but I respect her privacy, and her respect for the privacy of others, even those who have apparently hurt her. Because I admit that I dont really know whats going on, I have been slow to say anything. Now, all I want to say is that, although I do not know what portion of blame rightfully belongs to each person involved, I only desire mercy for all of you. Fayte, I'm sorry you have been hurt in all this, and lost a friend (or two). I'm sorry for Silver, too, although I dont know what he has suffered or what he has lost. It's clear that you're both in pain. I'm sorry for all of us because I've seen all of us at our best. I've seen us when we are inspired with wisdom and love, and eager to share that warmth and light with others. I'm sorry because, if nothing else, what everyone involved has lost, at least in part, is that lightheartedness and enthusiasm that makes us all shine, as individuals, and, collectively, as Lindaland. That spirit of innocence and goodwill is in all of us, and sometimes it gets lost in the confusion of personal politics, but it is still there, if only we dont give up on it. But we need to stop arguing about "who started it", and start laying it to rest, regardless of whether or not everyone agrees with your version of the facts. I have not participated in this thread much because as HSC said, it should have been dealt with in private and never brought on the boards of LL. That was what I wanted from the beginning.

I think that Jay confused the post from over a year ago at GU with the private emails that Lotus posted at the same time and needs to go back and reread. There were no threats to Lotus in those emails. Just as HSC stated, an attempt on both mine and Zala's part to befriend and support Lotus at a time she was under attack at LL.

I can only speak for myself but I do take responsibility for my words regarding Sue. What I stated here on this thread about that was from my heart and is sincere. I do not appreciate having my true feelings negated by anyone and told they are wrong. No feelings are wrong. Even if they come from misunderstanding or misperception. They are none the less valid.

Randall banned Lotus. She broke the rules he applied to his site. Any objections or protests on Lotus being banned should be taken to Randall and left off the boards of FFA or LL in general. It's the second time that Lotus has broken the rules and been banned by Randall.

I will say this much. While it has been suggested that I am in denial and unresponsive to working matters out in private, I am not. I have attempted in private. I am just impervious to manipulation to get me to discuss private matters on the public forums of LL. I see no logical purpose to doing that. I do not wish to get others involved who only know half the story and only have their own perceptions to go on. I know all the events that have transpired, what led up to it and why it happened and I take what I know and learn the lessons I have to learn about MYSELF from it all. I am not responsible for the lessons the other party or in this case now, parties, have to learn from the experience. That is up to them to learn or not as the choice may be.
